Jake.............

So our young Quarterback throws an interception and you suddenly miss Jake?

If Jake was playing he would have thrown 3 INT's by now.

Thats what he did last year vs the Raiders :salute:

And this game is really really pissing me off.

It is ridiculous to get into Jay/Jake comparisons, but I have to point out that Jake in his Denver stint went 71-47 (TD-INT), vs. Jay's 22-16.

That means Jake had a ratio of 1.5:1 vs. Jay's 1.37:1. So, statistically, if Jay threw one TD and one INT, then based on their stats, Jake would have thrown no INTs, not three.

That's because Jake was THE most inconsistent player I have ever seen in ANY sport.

He could throw 3 TD's one game and then 3 INT's the next. Jake would usually mess up in the big games.

Your young, you haven't seen many games. Trust me, you will see more inconsistant athletes in many sports.

Jake would have prevented McClown from throwing 3 Tds today I can assure you that. :salute:

I swear whenever Jake played our defense played better.
Then once they started to collapse we started losing so we brought in Jay.

I'd rather have Foxy and Paymah as our 2 Cbs and trade Champ and Dre for some Dline and some people who can stop the run and put pressure on the passer.

Thats a tall order when it comes to Champ. However, I wonder what stud DE's and D line we could build with trading those two?

Actually, thats crazy. Bly yes...but you gotta keep Champ.

 I know but if we had a good Dline we could actually make the QB get the pass off quicker forcing more turnovers. The reason Champ and Dre aren't playing great is because the QB has about 30 seconds to think about who he wants to throw to.

I would much rather have a good Defense then a good offense.

I wish we had the Jags D or the Steelers. They play physical football.

losing sure does suck but I'm starting to get used to it. :(

GOod point...and its true that no matter how good your "shutdown corners" are, they can only shut down for so long.

Yea, after a while theres going to be an open WR somewhere. Champ and Dre get tired after running around for a while.

Its tough though. This team is too unpredictable. I never know what to expect.
After beating the Titans I thought we were great.

Jake would usually mess up in the big games.

At least he made it to big games. Doesn't look like Jay's going to do that.

Also... I'm tired of plays like these right before the half when you have nothing to lose:
2-10-DEN 26 (:15) (Shotgun) 6-J.Cutler pass short left to 35-S.Young to DEN 33 for 7 yards (99-W.Sapp, 53-T.Howard).
END QUARTER 2

Anyone remember this play at the end of the half of the Raiders snow game 3 years ago?:
2-7-DEN 15 (:56) J.Plummer pass to R.Smith for 85 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

I swear, Jake told the players what HE wanted to run in the huddle.

Man he was a competitor.

It's just like Reggie Rivers said on Ch4 sports after the game -

"The Broncos are going to be a great team - they just are not a great team right now".

Jay has much to learn yet... But there are not too many ways to learn from a dropped pass, other than you wish the defenders couldn't catch better than your own receivers. The whole team sucked eggs today, much like a loss we had in a very important game a few years back. Shanny's gonna need a blowtorch to light the proper fire after this one.
