Outside the walls of Dove Valley, it's been an unusual week in Broncos Country. Inside, the Broncos pay the outside chatter little mind.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- In the sanctum that is their locker room, the Broncos can turn up the chatter and turn down the noise from outside.

But it was impossible for those players who were on social media to completely ignore the hysterical over-reaction in some circles to Monday night's loss and the four interceptions thrown by Peyton Manning.

"They hold him up to a high expectation, and they say things about him that they really don't understand," running back C.J. Anderson said. "I think it's kind of wrong and disrespectful towards him, because the time and the effort and what he's been doing for these last 17 years in the league, and what he's done in the last three years for the Broncos, has been amazing."

Win a playoff game in New England this year and that will quiet them down for a bit. Lose in New England and nothing changes.

That's not gonna happen.

And shouldn't.

But the noise isn't going to quiet down unless they win a Super Bowl. Just read a few pages here.

If the Broncos don't make the Super Bowl, Fox is gone. It's all but a guarantee. He should be, too. This team is too stacked to not make it back and that be acceptable to the FO.

Didn't seem like Elway was in a big hurry to extend Fox after last season, I like Fox and I believe the players like Fox, I just know that it'd be a slam dunk he returns regardless of how this season ends.

And replace him with who exactly?

Jim Harbaugh?

Jim Harbaugh?

Yeah, because he has proven to be a great coach by winning so many SBs for the 9ers, winning 4 division titles in a row, and just being a great leader?

Lol. Some of you guys are smoking some seriously good shit. Fox just got a NEW 3 year contract last April. No matter how the season ends, the Broncos are NOT going to fire Fox. Broncos talk is friggin intolerable sometimes....and THAT is a guarantee.

Yep! BRONCOS need to concentrate on beating Oakland. My head will explode if they would happen to lose.

I wouldn't think so either. I would hope the BRONCOS come in strong, and win by at least 2 touchdowns.

Manning to throw for 8oo yds and 8 tds - off 8 passes then sit the second half

Would have to be 792 yards, 99 is the longest offensive play possible.

Oh I'm sorry, let me check the list of available HC's who've won SB's, wasn't aware of the parameters. Brb.

Point being you fire people when you can upgrade. Show me a proven upgrade out there. There isn't one. Fox deserves his job.

I don't want Fox fired, and besides Cu Michigan is my favorite college team, so I'd much prefer Harbaugh going that route. However, Harbaugh is anupgrade, imo, especially if Denver loses Gase. He's duplicated Fox's Broncos success without Manning.

As frustrating as some of the coaching has been you do not fire a guy who is leading your team to the playoffs and SB in the last 3 years. You just dont, you would look like the most inept organization in the league to do something like that.

I agree 100%.

Did the Raiders not do something similar with Gruden? Or have i got that wrong?

Yea, the last 2 years that Gruden was in Oakland the team was 12-4 and 10-6 before Davis got jealous of his success and wanted him out.
