I just joined this forum yesterday after seeing it on the Broncomania and I've seen a lot of familiar names from both the Orangemane and BM.

Do you guys mainly just post on this site now? Why the switch?

I was on broncosfreak.com (not broncosfreaks.com) as a different name for a short period of time. Albeit under a different username. When it closed I came here and so did some of the other users. Some went back to broncosfreaks.com though.

I was really undecided and non-committal to this place when it first came to be. I was tied into Mania and almost felt like I was betraying them if I made the move. Then when most of the people I really enjoyed weren't at Mania anymore, I slowly migrated here. Happy I did though, love this place.

i used to like mania,but found this site has alot less "trash talk" and anger.
sure there are good heated debates but not the personal stuff.
and i just feel like people here are more friendly....its kinda like a small town compared to the inner city.
and i guess since i have spent most of my life in small towns (black hawk/central city before the whole gambling thing ruined them and where i live now in montana)i am more comfortable here.
besides.....its the best broncos website in the world !:salute:

I started off posting at the mane, but the overwhelming and suffocating negativity of that place caused me to come over here. I still check out the Mane once in awhile (as there are some super-duper smart football guys that post on the site), but I like the general attitude of people here better. Not that anyone really cares. :cool:

I post on BM the most (It's where my Bronco's posting career started), lurk here all the time and post fairly regularly, I like how the moderation here isn't as intrusive and a lot of my favorite posters from BM are here, I read MHR often and post there once in awhile.

I don't post (much) but find this to be the most intelligent Broncos community. The Mane is great during training camp because of the detailed camp reports.

This site is better than Mania overall. I didn't think that off the bat since it was still fairly new, but the less people you have, the less jackoffs and you can simply chill here and vibe. I don't know about the other sites but I keep hearing that this place is pretty much a combination of Mania and the Freak. I've never been to the Freak. Yet.

Signed up on BroncosUpdate and Mania in 03', and the OM in 05'. I post on the BU message board once in a blue moon and use too at Mania until it decided to go in a diffrent direction. I don't have a single post at the mane but i lurk around from time to time.

I found this place once free thought and fair criticism went out the window and one person had all the best posters banned, suspended, or simply run off.

I find that I am liking this place more but I am slowly working myself in as I am a more experienced poster now. (I rubbed some people the wrong way starting out at the other place-SORRY RAV :elefant:)

i started at the mania and quite enjoyed myself there racking up 3500 posts and numerous friends in over a year, but with the cutler saga and off-season drama, things went sour there quick, Mods had to play even keel and some of the vets getting pissed at noobs who were spamming were getting banned and suspened for what many of us considered trivial stuff.

however the mods had a job to do, so many decided to take a break and check this place out for the same reason you did(hearing about it on the mania)

this place has some very good vet posters and the knowledege and way its put out here is much more mature on a daily basis in my opinion than the mania, mostly becasue its less known, so the spammers, trolls, and what we call noobs, flood mania more often than here.

that means the conversation here is more direct, and more substantial, and more fullfilling.

if you love the draft i recommend the mania though, where guys like Lancane, Cugel, Mug, BXTX77. MAXPOWER, Larry dean and many others provide good info.

however here guys like lex, Dogfish, West, Dream, JR and others provide good info, the conversation just tends to die quicker here than there becasue of the amount of interested people.

if you love just genral discussion this is the place to be for fullfilling, substantial conversation, and realtively mild mannered debate for the most part(things can still get personal though)

now both sites have there irritating and annoying posters, but im at a point now where i personally visit both becasue of friends in both places and good info in both places as well.

the off-season drama soured alot people to many things on the boards at both the mania and here, but now things seem to have been relatively stable the last few weeks.


the organgmane is another one, but its more of a good old boy club and if your not well-known, and have a differing opinion it can get you in deep. best advice there is to lurk for awhile and slowly make friends with minumum posting before you dive in deep.



the good news is the mods here and at the mania have straightened both sites to where I belive it has now become fun to post at both places....you will find good info at both places, and i recommend visiting both and enjoying your time.
