View Full Version : Demaryius Thomas sets Broncos' record in win over Cardinals

Demaryius Thomas first started busting his slump during the bye week.

It was the Monday after the Broncos' loss at Seattle, where Thomas again inexplicably struggled with two more drops. All the players had to endure the postgame cleanse, or conditioning that sweats out the bumps and bruises, on Monday.

Thomas showed up at Dove Valley before most of the others and caught ball after ball off the Jugs machine.

"I had to do something," Thomas said. "I was dropping them."

DT talked after the game, and said that he came in early on Monday morning after the bye week, before any one else was there, and caught 250 balls.

I hope Shannon Sharpe is ok with this. Demaryius Thomas broke Shannon Sharpe's mark of 214 yards set against Kansas City in 2002.

I wish he could play like this in Seattle. I am sure Broncos would win over Seattle.

Yeah. It's surprising since I think AZ actually has better corners than the Seahawks.

Lol im sorry man but no. Shermans on another planet and their secondary as a unit isn't just good, it's scary good.

BUT.....we can beat them.

Their secondary as a whole is better but I think the AZ corner tandem is better. Sherman > Peterson but Cromartie >>> Maxwell.

Cromartie and Peterson got abused today. I'm just thinking id rather have 1 Sherman over 2 Cardinals. Peterson is the most overrated player in the NFL. What has he done?

I truly love DT's humility. He knows he just blew up two of the better corners in the NFL, but all he cares about is the W! Massively awesome awesomeness!!!! Reminds of Calvin Johnson. They both just destroy on the field and are so quiet and humble off the field. They let their play do the talking and I freaking love it.

The shorter TD catch was so BA. Stiff arm a 250 pound LB and then run past 2 DB? Are you kidding me?

That one play made me believe DT is the true beastness. Then the 86 yarder made me know it. Dude demonstrated Steve-Smith like elusiveness in space on the first, and Tim Brown cheetah speed on the second. Now if he would just intimidate physical corners with the presence and bad intentions of a Boldin/Andre Johnson. . .

when DT is healthy he is crazy good... with him and Sanders on the other side, that is pretty hard for any defense to stop. Then they have Welker in the slot and JT at TE? crazy!

Ha, we were laughing at home about the dunk lady spilling beer all over the guy. I hope he had a spare jersey.

Yeah so were we, I thought it was even funnier that the girl on his right got it spilled on her head.

I just read that DT got AFC player of the week. Good for him. When he's firing on all cylinders he's damned near unstoppable.

The first thing I said was "damn, that beer probably cost her 7 bucks!"
