Watching your defense get picked apart as you lose by 16 in Week 1 is never the way a coach wants to begin a season. Turning around and having to face Peyton Manning & Co. in Week 2 can hardly be a comforting prospect.

The Kansas City Chiefs, which fell to the Titans 26-10 on Sunday as Tennessee quarterback Jake Locker compiled 266 passing yards and two touchdowns, will take on the Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday. And they'll do so knowing the Broncos still have the best offense in football, but also a defense to be reckoned with now.

To help fill the Chiefs' holes on defense — they lost defensive tackle Mike DeVito and linebacker Derrick Johnson to injuries — the Chiefs picked up former Bronco Mike Vickerson, who will quickly jump into the starting role.

Who is Mike Vickerson?
Can't believe the Post got a two-year Broncos starters name wrong; that's some quality memory and research right there. I hope Big Vick didn't see that, or doesn't play if he did.

Manning owns the Chiefs. 7-1 career, 4-0 as a Bronco.

Sucks, I like Vickerson, one of the few good moves by McDaniels (iirc), hope he doesn't make the Broncos wish the Chefs signed Mike Vickerson instead.

Whoa. Beef. Do you know how disturbing that artwork is? Did you come across it on youtube, by chance?

I wish we were playing at Camarohead instead of at home. I can't remember the last time the schedule makers gave us a Chiefs home game later in the year. I'm sure it has happened, it just seems like it's been a long time. It seems like Denver always has to travel to KC in December. Hopefully by then the Chiefs will be already mathematically eliminated.
