Over at Grantland this week, Bill Barnwell has broken down the NFL into four groups of eight - bottom feeders, teams on the decline, teams on the rise, and legit contenders. Guess where the Broncos end up? He writes their part of the preview with a hypothetical - if Manning gets hurt, could this still be a playoff team? His answer is yes.

It wouldn’t be too difficult to imagine the Broncos winning the AFC West with Osweiler at the helm. Oh, and the good news? Peyton Manning is probably not going to miss the entire season. Yeah, this Broncos team is going to be pretty good.
Best-Case Scenario: 19-0.
Worst-Case Scenario: Manning and Osweiler both get hurt and the Broncos have to re-sign Ti … let’s not go there.
