The Broncos have signed former Cleveland Browns defensive end Brian Sanford. Undrafted out of Temple in 2010, Sanford was signed by then-Browns general manager Tom Heckert, who is now the Broncos’ director of player personnel.

Sanford played five games for the Browns in 2011. He was traded to Seattle at about this time last year, but the deal was rescinded when Seattle guard John Moffitt failed his physical by the Browns’ medical staff. Moffitt was later traded to the Broncos.

And now Sanford is with the Broncos. Sanford has since been cut by both the Browns and Oakland Raiders.

I wonder why the Broncos felt the need to sign Sanford

He was cut by the browns and the raiders. That doesnt say much for him.

Remember when our entire d-line was ex-browns? Those were the days.

Those were SOME days. . . not very good ones though. You really have to look through some seriously rose-colored glasses to get nostalgic over days when Ebeneezer Ekuban was the DE!

"Ah! Those wonderful days when Gerrard Warren and Courtney Brown were sitting in the trainer's room all season with turf-toe and bone spurs in the knee!"

Actually, Warren didn't play too badly for us. If not for Brown's knee injuries, he would have had a very productive career IMO. Still, I am loving the fact the team actually values talent along the DL. The depth we have can't be compared to the days when Shanahan & Co where in charge. It does my heart good to watch how players we acquire actually get seem to get better.

Ravage!!!

We went to the AFC Championship game that year. Not exactly "bad" days.
