Hello & welcome everyone! This is the forum's official fantasy league, and is open to all members.

Things will be a little different this year. Rumor has it that SeeingRed is unable to run the Eastern Conference this year so I am possibly looking for a replacement commissioner to set up and run the Eastern conference.

If no one wants to run the eastern conference, there are a couple options here. We can combine the 2 conferences to form 1 conference with 20 players, or I control both conferences and it remains 2 conferences with at least 10 teams each. I would perfer to get another commissioner so there is less of a work load for me. Either way I will do what the majority agrees upon.

Everyone who "registers" in this thread is welcome to play as long as we have even numbers to make the conference(s), but it's going to be on a first-come first serve basis, so if you want to play in 2014, post in this thread.

August 29, 2014 will be the registration deadline, so if you want in, now's the time to sign up! We had 20 participants last year, but there is always room for more. We will keep the league size to 20 and if we get past twenty entrants I will keep a running tally and update-- we can accommodate as many as want to play, as long as we have even numbers that can easily be broken into multiple conferences (20, 24 30 etc).

Once there is a final list, the invites will be sent out and everything will be set up (draft date, draft time). I won't be able to give you draft dates until we figure out the league setup and/or know the final tally.

The conference(s) will follow the basic ESPN rules, which are as follows:

Every 25 passing yards (PY25): +1 point
TD Pass (PTD): +6 points
Interceptions Thrown (INT): -2 points
2pt Passing Conversion (2PC): +2 points

Rushing:

Every 10 rushing yards (RY10): +1 point
TD Rush (RTD): +6 points

Every 10 receiving yards (REY10): +1 point
TD Reception (RETD): +6 points
2pt Receiving Conversion (2PRE): +2 points

This is a standard head-to-head style league-- when I know the size of the conference(s), I'll let you know how many teams will make the playoffs. Week 17 will be the championship. We'll do a live, online draft-- 18 rounds, snaking each round. We'll be using ESPN again this year.

Commissioners duties range from setting up the sending out the email invite with the league name and password, draft date, draft order, rules, scoring (although we usually just leave the scoring set on default).

The other, "The Handbook of Christian Discipleship Recover," is also unpublishable due to copyright issues. That's why I'd really appreciate if someone could tell me how to contact copyright holders in order to get their permission to us their materials.

The reason that I don't have this problem my Autism book is that my sources are also my personal friends & mentors. Yes, yes and no. The scoring specs are on ESPN, it's just a standard scoring system. I dont have the time to list all of them.

I dont have a problem with using yahoo. It's up to the consensus if they want to switch to that platform.

Just not a big fan of leagues with more than 12 teams. The pickins are pretty slim after awhile and one injury to a key player kills your season. After the 3rd or 4th round, everyone is deciding which is the best back-up to be a starter on their team.

Personal preference.

Yahoo FF here too. I like all of the setups and features better than the rest off them. Fleaflicker is the absolute worst though imo.

Sorry ladies and gents. I've been working day and night shifts for the last month so I havent had a whole lot of time to get on here. I will set it up today when I get a chance. Yes the registration is closed now, Mtn Man I will do my best to accommodate you but If I'm not the commish in your league it will be up to the other commish. I'm thinking the draft date for the western conference will be August 30th or 31st at 6 or 7 pm Pacific.

P.S. I have recieved a lot of emails, when I get the teams sorted into the conferences you'll get the invite.

Mtnman, I will set up a weekend, probably Sunday 31 Aug. which is this week. I wont do 9pm or later MST because I am in the east and that is after 11pm for me and I work at 6am every morning. I will check the draft time of the prime time league and the boss freak league because myself and a few others are in those leagues too. I will try to work the East draft here around those and hopefully most will be happy.
Once I get the list from Chidoze, who is working hard on this and I thank him, I will get everything set as fast as I can. Then good luck to all and I hope I win again lol

Seems like i had first pick seeing as I landed Peterson.
Glad I changed ESPN's top picks pre-rankings last minute. Their top 4 rankings were a bit screwed.

Happy with my depth at RB having acquired Zac Stacy and Alf Morris as RB2 and Flex and a few decent ones as back ups.
Solid otherwise at other positions.
Look forward to beating Mtnman and others.

If your referring to me starting JT, the last info that I had on him was that he was probable for Sunday, as was my other TE, Anthony Fasano (KC). All of the rest of the TEs available were garbage. Had I started Fasano, he would've gotten me 0 points as well. So let's just say that I was sunk at TE this week.

Before the year started, I thought about starting a thread that I'd started back on Broncosfreak years ago, in which experienced FF managers could give general tips to 1st timers. At the end of my post, I was going to write: If you want to win, do the exact opposite of everything I wrote. After all, prior to this year, I've always finished a game or 2 below .500, & have therefore never come close to making the play-offs.

This year, I finished 7-6 in both ESPN leagues, & 8-6 in the NFL.com league. I went into the play-offs as the 4th seed in this & the NFL.com leagues (thanks in part to MHC taking down 1 of the 2 rivals that was ahead of me going into the last week of the NFL.com), & the 6th seed in the other ESPN. I not only won :first: in this league, but also the 1 on NFL.com :first: As far as the ESPN league, I didn't do anything to brag about once the play-offs started.
