There are two types of milk. Red lid and blue lid.

After a quick wiki look, it was started by a military dude. So that might be the reason. I'm not sure. There's that one on Knox, and I think there's one in Frankfort, KY. There's a National Guard post there. Maybe it's an area plus military thing. I'm not sure.

It's a pork based sandwich. We put pork (with Mojo sauce) in the slow cooker and let it cook all day. You then put mustard on the bread, add the pork, ham (deli ham is okay but when I go all out I make a small ham in the oven) cheese and pickles (we add hot peppers) and then put them into a panini press.

This sounds like way too much work for a sandwich. It's annoying having to take 2 minutes to make a ham sandwich, so I can't imagine a sandwich that takes a day to make.

I also don't know what a cuban is because i'm not #elite. I assume it tastes like cigars and communism. No bueno.

Thus, rightfully so, confusion.

This will be the dumbest argument we have all year, but I am here to declare victory, because even if it's unclear my sentence is still accurate as written.

I said "both, unless it's PB&J" and that is correct because I only put one condiment on one piece of bread with a PB&J. If it's mayo or mustard or anything else I put that on both pieces of bread. PB&J must be made with PB on one side, jelly on the other, then combined. That's the only correct way to do it.

Do you put margarine on both slices when you make a turkey sammich?

Usually just the top. Thanks for asking.

So you're a one slice guy. I am too.

I’m a simple man. I like my sandwiches to have a defined top and bottom. Maybe that makes me weird.

I don't think it makes you weird.

Personally, I prefer to isolate my bread from certain condiments, as they can sometimes make the bread a little soggyish. So I might put my mayo on top of the turkey and then put a piece of cheese on top of the mayo... depending on what kind of bread I'm using.

I’m also a big hoagie guy for just about any sandwich, so that naturally has a top and a bottom.

When it comes to burgers, the mayo goes on the bottom bun, then veggies, burger, and toppings/other condiments. In that order.

I don’t really care what it’s called, I enjoy eating sandwiches that utilize those types of buns rather than two slices of white or wheat bread.

What about marble rye or potato bread

What is the purpose of putting mayo underneath the burger? That would seem to make that bottom piece even more likely to be soggy.

Rye is great. Fair point. I prefer Jewish rye, but marble rye also good. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had potato bread.

The mayo + veggies flavor complements the flavor of all the other burger juices dropping to the bottom bun.

I highly advise trying some. It's a semi sweet bread. Sort of like King's Hawaiian but heavier and denser.

I think I have discussed this before, but I use what I refer to as the bottom cheese maneuver. I cook the burgers, then melt the cheese. When it is melted enough I place the patty cheese side down on the bottom bun so that leaves the top portion of bun and meat patty free to use for condiments/toppings. We had burgers last night and on the top bun portion I put some mustard and mayo then on burger itself a small amount of ketchup and onions/pickles/lettuce/tomato (not in that order).

So, you put the PB and J on the same slice? If not, your statement is a contradiction.

Heck, you could even use it as a dipping sauce for Chix fingers.

I friggin love Chix. Would really enjoy a Chix sandwich right now. Buns on both sides and some meat in the middle. Chix are the best.

I don't think I've ever made chicken salad.
