It never was correct to call Peyton Manning a rental player, but now that he’s entering his third season as the Broncos’ quarterback, Denver is feeling more like home.
Manning demonstrated his Colorado allegiance through his work with his PeyBack Foundation this year. Manning’s foundation donated $1 million this year — $630,000 to 81 Colorado youth-related charities; $175,000 to 32 organizations in Tennessee, where he played four years of college; $120,000 to 23 groups in his home state of Louisiana; and $75,000 to 17 organizations in Indiana, where he played 14 seasons for the Indianapolis Colts.
That’s $1 million to 153 organizations in four states.
