NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport broke the news Monday that the Seahawks agreed to a blockbuster four-year contract extension worth $40 million with $27.725 guaranteed, per a source informed of the situation. The deal will make Thomas easily the highest-paid safety in the NFL.

He's the best safety in the game, and deserves to be paid as such. I do hope the Hawks blow all their money on him, Wilson, etc, and get stuck either letting guys go or in cap hell. I'm guessing they're too smart for that, but we can hope, right?
