ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- A pair of new Broncos officially have their numbers.

Last week, defensive tackle Terrance Knighton tweeted that he would give up his old number to defensive end DeMarcus Ware, and that he would wear the No. 98 jersey.

That change is now official.

Ware will keep his No. 94 with the Broncos while Knighton will don No. 98.

Another defensive free agent addition, cornerback Aqib Talib, is also wearing a number that used to belong to a current Bronco.

Talib is getting Louis Wright's old number. It's funny considering he looks just like him with a very similar playing style.

My insight was brief, yet amazing.

Jaded is correct. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WrigLo00.htm

I went through our rosters for the entirety of Wright's career to see who AW4M might have gotten his number mixed up with. The only player who wore that number during that time span was Randy Poltl ('75-'77) http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PoltRa20.htm

Unless I over looked someone, no Bronco wore that number from '78-'90, until Le-Lo Lang. Was this some super fluke, or did something happen to Plotl that made his number taboo for so many years?

Maybe it's just me, but I found that part of the press conference cringeworthy.

I did too, until I saw some pictures of Wright.

I wanted Terrance Knighton to get #96 - his Jaguars number - again. Who wears it now?

Nice guy for letting DeMarcus Ware continue to wear #94.

Wish they didnt restrict numbers to positions. Like, It would be cool to see a qb wearing #21 ala John Hadl, # 8 safety, larry wilson, #80 cb like Night train lane, #5 running back like paul hornung.. Paul warfield, charlie taylor and jon gilliam all were wr with #42...what were some other unique number/position combos?

I'm the opposite, for example, I don't like that WR's can now wear 10-19.

Only speaking for myself, but that is one of the biggest turnoffs when it comes to college ball.
