Eff off with this unclassy crap.

Kuper is a good guy and was a good player for Denver, who basically came out of nowhere to start in the NFL.

Seriously? Pound sand you unappreciative ****. The man couldn't "stay healthy" because he abused his body for the team. A damn fine lineman that gave his all here for quite a few years. He deserves respect and a nice sendoff to boot.

much respect and appreciation to kupes, dude was a prototype denver lienman, tough, reliable and he kept his mouth shut-- he helped us transition from the gibbs zone-blocking era to the new line. . . always a favorite, wish the guy all the best going forward. . .

Get outta here with that. Kupe was a ******* badass for us for a good number of years. Just cause you weren't here to see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

If I'm not mistaken, Kupe's main problem is his ankle/leg that he just happened to destroy blocking for this team ( we all know the play). He's battled and fought to get back and just hasn't been able to get right. It's ashame really. He is a class act and I wish him well. Thanks Kupe!!

8 years and voted team captain by his peers. He played his entire career with the Broncos as well. Much respect.

Kupe was a warrior. He had one of the nastiest injuries I ever saw and was never really the same after that. He gave this team everything!

Thanks Kuper for all you did!

Broken and dislocated. That was one of the most gruesome breaks I've ever seen. His foot was bent backwards.

Happy to have the extra cap room, sad that it ended like this for him. He was a damn fine player. Big, tough strong sob.

Kupe's dad posts on the Mane from time to time and hinted that Chris was contemplating retirement.

Wish him all the best.

I always liked Kupe. Hope he was smart with his money and he can spend the rest of his life drinking Mai tais on the beach or Coors light at the lake, whichever he prefers. There was a time when he was IMHO a top 15 or so Guard in the NFL, not too bad of a thing to hang your hat on.

Jim and Jeff Goodman had one of the all time great drafts that year. I still can't believe they haven't landed somewhere else in a prominent role

Perhaps instead of thinking the guys on the football field are just a bunch of pixels in some random video game, you would be best to remember these are real people, real people that received real injuries playing for the team you supposedly follow.

I felt so bad for him that day, it was awfull man. His foot was faced completely the other way and suprised he every played another down.

Before that he was a rock and one of the best OL we had.

Wow, sorry about the off the cuff comment. Was not in my sympathetic mode and have been going through the whole team with fine tooth comb monetarily. Only want that from a financial stand point and not from a personal or teammate view. I do recall what all he has done for the team and I apologize for the comment.

I was a little happy to hear the news. It was doubtful that he was going to play again. The injury was awful. I think, at this age, he must have already started saving money. Probably best case scenario. At least he won't bounce around the league or get another injury. Hopefully he can be at home with his family, with what health he has left. Denver got way more than expected out of Kuper. Solid character and a hard worker. I wish him the best.
