My kids were watching TV the other day and it was an interview of a snowboarder and I wanted to show them I was cool by knowing it was Shaun White. So I said, "Hey look, it's Shaun White."

look at how crappy that top of the extension is. Its supposed to be a straight even line, its all jangled and up and down. Horrible.

He placed 4th yet had the highest run of the entire competition. But it didn't carry over because of earlier rounds and qualifiers.

what is the purpose of the extension. are boards ridden on the extension. i'll have to watch or is it now over?

Or why they ever offered it to a location with a temperate winter climate to begin with

The extension is the part that you lift off from into the air and come down on while landing. Its supposed to be a straight even line down the pipe. This one in sochi as you can see from the pic, is up and down.

It matters for trying to land clean.

I wasn't worried so much about the extension. The base was so ruddy and shitty, they lose all speed which is what is needed for the tricks. You could watch and see them lose speed as soon as the snowboard touched. Pretty ridiculous!
