I just don't think paramedics really care what color you are. They were trained to save lives no matter what. Then I guess he doesn't realize that the dispatcher hears the call, NOT the paramedics. They just respond to the dispatcher and then proceed to the scene.

He apparently was ignorant of the situation. Not only were the phone lines cut in Taylor's house, but when he was shot the bullet hit a major artery.
