The Broncos have a chance to do something special on Sunday and that message was driven home by a member of the team who knows how rarely chances at a Super Bowl can come along.

Cornerback Champ Bailey is playing in his first Super Bowl after 15 seasons in the NFL, something that was a frequent topic of questions sent Bailey’s way during Super Bowl week media availabilities. In response to one of those questions, Bailey said a win on Sunday would be the greatest accomplishment of his career and he got a chance to share how much that would mean with his teammates.

Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports that Bailey was chosen to address his team ahead of the Super Bowl. According to Paolantonio, Bailey’s message was to “make the game bigger than yourself.”

Personally, I'd be more emotional for Champ than Peyton if we win tonight. He's just been SUCH a team guy.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Champ Bailey is the longest-tenured member of the Denver Broncos. When folks around the team speak of leadership, they start with Bailey.

It is no surprise, then, that Bailey was chosen to speak to the Broncos on Saturday night in the final meetings before the biggest game of their lives. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that Bailey and Broncos coach John Fox both addressed the team.

Bailey's message: "Make the game bigger than just yourself." Bailey said the game is more important than just you. It's about the team; it's about everyone.

Fox's message was that the preparation for the game truly took seven months, not two weeks. Fox told the Broncos they were ready and not to get caught up in the emotions. That the passion of the game will take care of itself when it arrives.

The Seahawks didn't have any special Saturday night speech, according to Rapoport. They did their normal routine at the team hotel.

Would be icing on cake to see Champ take one of Wilson's passes to the house in a Broncos win...

...I so hope he gets that ring today!
