I read an article on NFL.com the other day where it wasn't unanimous. So my question to those who wouldn't/didn't vote for Peyton... what world were you living in?

Oh I think it's clear there are some in the media that proclaimed a certain other QB more deserving of the MVP because, rumor has it, he single-handily won with high school players and backyard scrubs.

The final maneuver by the Broncos' quarterback was to accept his record fifth MVP via videotape. An appointment with the Broncos' Super Bowl on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks earned Manning an excused absence from the NFL Honors program at Radio City Music Hall.

"This is a very special award," Manning said. "I am extremely honored to have it presented by Joe Montana and Aaron Rodgers. I am humbled by this recognition and grateful to my family, Pat Bowlen, John Elway, John Fox and the entire Denver Bronco organization. And of course, my coaches and my teammates."

Manning then sent word for his dad, Archie, and son Marshall to accept the award. He received 49 of the 50 votes.

AND

Manning was also named Offensive Players of the Year. His boss, football operations executive John Elway, accepted that honor on Manning's behalf.

from article:

Although Manning was head and shoulders above the MVP field this season, he failed to join Tom Brady (2010) as the only winner to be voted unanimously. One wrong-headed member of The Associated Press opted to make the process about himself rather than selecting the most deserving candidate.

"It pains me because Peyton had such a historic season," Miller told the Post. "He is the offensive player of the year, no question. But having played the position, when I looked at who had the most value to his team, I thought Tom Brady carried that team the same way Adrian Peterson carried Minnesota last year."

Jim Miller is the idiot of the year! No doubt about it.Why because he voted his conscience?

Considering the weapons Manning had verses the weapons Brady had, I don't believe an unbiased sane NFL fan can argue with his argument.

BTW, I never said I would have voted the same as Miller. I probably wouldn't have. But if he truly believed that and a reasonable argument can be made to support it, then he should vote what he believes, not merely vote the same as everyone else.

I had a lot of respect for you before tonight, still do but if you keep up your vitriol and ranting I doubt I will.

I haven't said anything derogatory about Manning or the Broncos. Merely echoed in milder terms comments from Broncos fans in the SB thread. Unfortunately, it has been pretty apparent up to this point that the Broncos as a team aren't playing well. With Manning, they can definitely turn that around and make a comeback.

Mo, honest question here. Why do you think the Broncos are struggling so much in the game. Do you think the Seahawks D is that good or do you think the Broncos weren't properly prepared, were over confident, or something else?
