I bet they did that so Sapp can run the ball.

Could be, but I'm thinking it's because he's a better receiver out of the backfield than Sapp is.

Probably as insurance because of Travis Henry's injuries and the possible suspension.

When I saw the title of the thread, that is exactly what I was thinking. With Henry and Young banged up, even if they like Hall, Sapp has shown he can carry the ball.

Kyle is an ok fullback but if not mistaken criticism of him is that he's not really a strong lead blocker.

He didn't do too bad of a job in 05' when we almost had 2 1,000 yard rushers

I can remember reading over the past few years that Kyle had struggled with being good lead blocker. I would guess that Shanahan reservations about him because in '06 Sapp started getting some playing time at fullback.

At the least, he makes a GREAT option for a 3rd down fullback. He's as good as we've had at catching passes in the end zone.

Got a few runs for TD's close down in the Redzone over the years. I always like the kid seemed to be a good replacement for Griffin of SB years..

Never figured out why he was cut loose.

Just a theory, but sometimes, teams cut players who they think or hope no other team is interested in, so that they can re-sign them later. Somtimes it works, and sometimes it bites them in the rear; case in point, Baltimore cut Derek Anderson thinking no team would want him, with intentions of re-signing him. They were surprised when Cleveland picked him up.

Perhaps but I'd be pissed if that was the case if I were the player..

I hope he is able to retake his old job back.

He might get it by default, depending if Sapp has to be moved back to running back.

I'm glad he's back.

He does a good job of scoring in the redzone, and that's been one of our weaknesses.

I'll guess that results are in on young and halls tests. Of course we still have 4 days to go before we play next Mikey could make 4 or 5 more moves.

Is there any limit on roster moves? With all the other restrictions in the NFL I'd guess there has to be..

I wondering that also. How many times was Chad Mustard released and brought back? One of the players made a joke that he always seemed to be here for the games.

no one has posted a link on the kj release.

is it true or not or are you guys just making this up?

if so that was pretty stupid to release him. all of our rb's are getting banged up and kj should bring a pair of fresh legs to help these guys block.

Mikey playing hide the pea under the snell game..

Just trying to confuse the NFL I'll bet he has done something illegal again and is trying to cover it in a blizzard of paper work.

I absolutely have NO IDEA why he would bring Kyle back on 11-22, and cut him on 11-27. That is not enough time for anything, unless Kyle was used strictly for practice that week, and that was the whole idea :confused:

Trade one bench player for another. Bell is so far in Shanny's dog house that he may never see playing time again.

The Broncos re-signed guard Isaac Snell today and released fullback Kyle Johnson.

Johnson, who was signed last week in the wake of the Broncos injuries at running back, played largely on special teams Sunday.

Snell, who was signed off the Titans’ practice squad earlier this season, had been released last week to make a roster spot for Johnson.
