This will surely breed some silly predictions.....so let me get mine out of the way: Franklin rushes for 220 and three scores including a field goal.

Bold prediction offense: Manning throws four scores.

Bold prediction defense: Two picks, one by Champ for a score.

Holliday takes one to the house.

Game is close at half 10-3... then Manning throws for 4 TDs in second half.

Elway comes down to the podium after the win, holds up the trophy and says, "This one is for Pat."

DT catches 2 TDs, Decker 1 and Julius 1... Decker has the longest TD Catch of the night.

Wilson throws for less than 120yrds, and Lynch gets 77 yrds rushing.

The Seahawks WILL get one INT, and will have 1 big kick return. It doesn't score, but gets them close enough to score. That will be the majority of their offensive production.

All of our offensive weapons with double digit touchdowns this year will each score a TD (DT, Decker, JT, Welker, and Moreno) although not sure if Knowshon's will be a rush or pass...

Prater will kick the ball exactly 11 times, and Colquitt exactly one time.

I love your enthusiasm and optimistic attitude Nomad,. Decker will return punts i am pretty sure. Holliday, I want a td return Sunday, but NO FUMBLE???? did anyone hear the Prater was sick? He was questionable for that reason, but that was over the weekend. I didn't take it seriously, but anyone else? man, We need him

Moreno rushes for 100 yards.
Manning throws for 3 TD's and 300+ yards.
Champ Bailey with two interceptions.
Whoever lines up across from Sherman makes him look silly at least twice.
D holds The Beast to under 50 yards.
The Broncos win by 17+ and put up at least 30 points.

Champ announces his retirement sometime after the game.

Nothing too outlandish.

Broncos take their 1st drive of the 2nd half & score a TD that give the them a double digit lead that they'll never relinquish. Although the Seahawks may cut into that lead from time to time, the Broncos will extend it, but never to more than 17 points.

If Denver wins...it will be due to an MVP performance by Moreno.

He's not a QB, so he wont get the MVP no matter what his numbers look like...but his performance will be the reason

It should be named "The Jinx the Broncos Thread." Where's MO with his anti-jinx thread, already? It doesn't feel like a game week without it.

I just got back from driving to safeway to get lunch. I've decided that a bronco victory is going to come down to the performance of the offensive line.
That's no bold prediction, just simple fact, though it'll come down to BOTH offensive lines AND defensive lines. Most of the homerism from both fanbases comes down to them saying, "OUR TEAM IS AWESOME111" as if that statements truth for one team somehow precludes it for the other. Neither team would've won its conference unless it were great; the question's who's greatEST.

That's the one outcome I'd bet against happening. The balance between these teams is so fine and complementary that they could match each other blow for blow until late rounds—yet if either gains even the slightest tactical advantage early it could hammer away at it (in the way of football teams) until it buries the other. So blowout or nail-biter, but a 10 pt win is unlikely, IMHO.

Just to clarify, I didn't say that the Seahawks wouldn't cut it back to single digits, but that the Broncos would not relinquish the lead. I could very well come down to a last second drive by the Seahawks, but with them being in an obvious a passing situation, the :defense: is going to dial up the blitzes that Wilson won't be able to adjust to.

Wilson adjusts to blitzes pretty well, usually by scrambling out and either throwing or running for a big gain; we'll have to maintain our lane integrity AND coverage, and do both longer than against most QBs. If it stays close (which I'm inclined to think it will) that tends to favor their "keep it close enough for Lynch and the D to win with one long walkoff drive at the end" approach.

We've played a number of dual threat QBs this year though, and done pretty well. Our fast-but-small D is well suited to it, though perhaps less so the more we go big at LB to offset our depleted defensive line; we can no longer rely on 2-3 big uglies swallowing up blockers at the line so our LBs can sprint free for clean tackles, and the bigger they are the slower they move.

Unless one of us just implodes, I don't see either team ever being in position to milk a comfortable but uncommanding lead. Whether or not we take the lead, Seattle won't allow enough drives or points for us to build on it much; whether or not they take the lead, our offense won't go down without a fight and theirs isn't built to blowout anyone. The downside of playing ball control to limit the games total drives and keep it close enough to win is that also keeps it close enough to LOSE, especially against a quick strike offense.

That's just my best guess though, so you could be right that we build a respectable lead and Seattles doomed comeback attempt scores too little too late. Just not how I'd bet.

Russel Wilson likes to take the snap from under center then take two steps back and throw it to the sideline.
On the sideline are two wide outs, one on the LOS and one about two yds behind,
Wilson fires the ball to the receiver behind the LOS and the other receiver blocks.
That pass is almost a backward pass, barely a lateral.

If I have seen Wilson throw that quick pass to the sideline many times then so has JDR.
I have had a feeling for weeks that that play will be a pick 6 for Denver.

That's my bold prediction and might be the other pick that WARHORSE mentioned.

The Legion of Doom will be the 2nd best defense on the field today.
Champ sews up the game with a pick 6.
Montee Ball rushes for 100+ yards.
Trindon Holliday's first KO return is a TD.

NFL network guys had some interesting bold predictions.

Lynch runs for 215...Wilson throws for more yards than Manning...Bennett breaks the SB sack record...both QBs combine for less than 365 passing.
