hey guys/gals

just wanted to pop my head in and say hi to those of you that know me and those that dont.

lifes been going ok the past couple of months and the lil one is growing up n fast. ive posted some pics of her on the other site and thought id share em with all ya.

i havent been posting here much for no particular reason its just how i am. who knows maybe ill start posting here more often but i just wanted to wish you all teh best in life an what it offers.

well in a week kaitlyn will be 9 months old

she is weighing in at 19.2 pounds n 25 length

we couldnt be happier with how far she has come from her premi stages. a recent doctors visit has caused some concern for her head and weight. the doc assured me that he doesnt really think anything is abnormal but he still needs to follow his steps and has to have her get a cat scan done.

now im one to get things done and over with but i have been draggin arse on this one cuz they have to put her to sleep to do it. the doc said that we just need it done before our next visit dec 27th so i gotta do what i gotta do i guess.

when talking with the doc he said that this is just a precaution and there is nothing to worry about. she seems fine and is doing better time they see her but teh damn chart has her a lil about the curve. i tried to erase that curve the best i could when teh doc wasnt looking but to no avail.

she starting babbling a few weeks ago and i heard her say dada n daddy. those were the 1st things she said to me.

I'm glad everything is going well for you! I remember the threads you posted on BM when she was born and all of that jazz...not too far behind my boy (he'll be one on 19Dec).

About the head thing. Our doctor (I posted a thread about how pissed off I was about that whole deal over on BM) told us that my son may need skull surgery because the way the plates were fusing together. We got a second opinion by my wife's doc, who is also a pediatrician with WAY more experience than this Air Force doctor, and he said that the AF doc didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. So my advice to you? Get a second opinion. Either way, best wishes to you and yours as it seems like everything is going well.

PS - the first thing my son said was also "daddy". He started out with "addy", but it only lasted a couple of days because I kept pointing to myself and saying "Daddy" and really annunciating the "D" before "addy". It's surprising how smart those little things are isn't it?:D

and PSS - you should post here more. We all miss ya.

good to hear your son doing good

one thing that i hate is having to rely on some docs advice cuz you cant tell the quacks from the good ones. my doc for her is very good thou. he is at the hospital that my mom and 2 sisters work at and highly recomended. they dont know how i got him but i did. i tend to trust him a lil more than the other idiots she had in the nick u.

its crazy how quickly they pick things up. one day they are doing nothing then the next kartwheels on the floor.

its all good thou :salute:

Good to hear that things are going well. Cherish the moments with your daughter. Mine is now 20 months and is growing up so fast. Cherish it and revel in your little blessing.

And don't be a stranger.

It all spells trouble!
