2012: Broncos 34, Ravens 17
2011: Redskins 23, Giants 10
2010: Pats 31, Packers 27
2009: Cowboys 24, Saints 17

And for an extra bonus.

1997: Steelers 35, Broncos 24
1998: Giants 20, Broncos 16

Clearly, losing in week 15 equals success in the long run. 2013 Broncos, Super Bowl champs!

Wow!!!

Thank goodness no other contenders lost in week 15 last week or this would be meaningless.

 Yeah, this post was obviously in jest, but the main point is that losing to an inferior team in week 15 isn't necessarily the end of the world.

As long as we're clear on that, so I don't have to do a two-page rant about how 16 teams lose in Week 15 pretty much EVERY year. Don't HAVE to, mind; I still CAN.... ;)

The Ravens finished 1-4 the last month of the season last year and things turned out pretty good for them.

They were the exception to the rule.

The Saints finished 0-3 in 09.

Weren't you giving me a hard time about "cherry-picking" stats the other day?

Don't disregard my scientific findings!

In all seriousness though, I'm completely screwing around in this thread, NTL. If we finish 0-3 there is no way in hell we are winning it all.

I'm skeptical, but cautiously optimistic about your self control.

At least that would save us from a two-page rant about how only the Broncos Week 15 loss means they're overrated stiffs.

48.9% of SB winners played Week 17; the odds are against us, but I still think we can win this—IF we play like CHAMPIONS! :first:
