View Full Version : John Fox to coach Broncos from sidelines vs. Titans on Sunday; Derek Wolfe misses Friday's frigid practice

Broncos coach John Fox said Friday he will coach from the sidelines on Sunday against Tennessee.

"On the field you have a little bit better feel for the players," Fox said.

He had been contemplating whether it would be better to coach from the coaches' suite only five weeks removed from open heart surgery to repair a faulty aortic valve.

The decision to coach from his usual position rather than upstairs in the coaches' suite was made after Fox was medically cleared by his doctors and the Broncos' medical staff, and after consulting with John Elway, the team's football operations boss.

I sure hope they give him some sort of gun or sling to propel the challenge flag. I would hate to see him over exert himself when he challenges a spot on 2nd and 3 with 44 minutes left to play.

I got that it was a joke. A bad joke at a bad time. Just don't find poking fun at somebodies health funny.

They could give fox one of those t-shirt guns with the red flag. He challenges by shooting it in a zebras face. That would be awesome.

What? I haven't seen that. He didn't practice all week did he? I assumed he was out indefinitely.
