FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Just in time for Thanksgiving, Broncos coach John Fox will return Wednesday to Denver, according to a team source.
Fox has been on leave since undergoing heart valve replacement surgery Nov. 4 in Charlotte, N.C. He has been recovering at his offseason home in Charlotte, walking every day, watching game film and staying in communication with interim head coach Jack Del Rio.
Team owner Pat Bowlen will arrange to have his private plane pick up Fox and his wife Robin in Charlotte and fly him to Denver on Wednesday.
