The KC Chiefs and Denver Broncos are the only two remaining undefeated teams after the New Orleans Saints were beaten by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the last minute on Sunday.

Here they sit, the Chiefs and Broncos, both 6-0. How rare is it to see two teams in the same division still unbeaten this late in the season?

The last time something like this happened came in 1934. The Lions (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/detroit-lions) and Bears (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/chicago-bears), then part of the NFL's Western Division, each started 6-0. That is the only other time two teams have started 6-0 since divisions were created in 1933.Very, very rare.

Many times, two teams in the same division have played each other at least once by week six. That cuts down quite a bit on the possibility of an incidence like this.

Nothing made me happier than beating the Chiefs at Narrowhead on our way to our first SB title.

cool stat. . .

true. . . until recently, the league liked to play a decent amount of divisional games early, to spike interest in the early part of the schedule. . .

several years ago, they made the decision to start scheduling fewer divisional games in the early part of the season-- and accordingly, to save more divisional games for the last month of the season. . . i think it's made a noticeable difference. . . one of the few bright choices they've made lately. . .

Next time you mention the Broncos and chiefs in the same sentence, make sure you mention Denver first. If you are quoting an article, it's ok to change the sentence so that Broncos are named first.

That is all

Other than the Seahawks (when they were in the AFCW), Chiefs have been my other favorite matchup of the divisional teams. I hope both teams can be undefeated when they meet up in a few weeks.
