Not with the offense we have now, no.

Why? I'm ok with 7 TD's in 6 games from Moreno

Adrian has a lot of carries on those legs.

What if Von lights up another soon?

That's a totally different story. If he takes another suspension and the same offer gets put on the table, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

If they were going to trade him, they need another elite pass rusher in return, not a RB that is nearing 30.

I bet you could parley AP for a decent pass rusher, should that be the team need. Right now, there's no one I'd rather have but Von. However, if he misses more time due to stupidity, I'd doubt I'd still feel that way.

Not even if this was APs rookie year. I want more von millers on our team. Our pass rush is why our D is having issues and our pass d sucks. Our coverage is being dictated by our pass rush- which is non existent.

I don't mind if Broncos trade CB Champ Bailey for RB Adrian Peterson. (Blockbuster Trade 2.0)

Draft a Stud CB in the first round in 2014.

what if AP destroys another one of his knees?

everyone in the NFL is one "instance" away being irrelevant.

The value of an elite pass rusher is much greater than the value of an elite RB. So even in peterson's his prime, Von is more valuable to THIS team. If we didn't have Manning, then one could make the case that Adrian (in his prime) is a larger asset.

Yeah, but if that happened that trade wouldn't be on the table. It wouldn't be on the table NOW. And right now we need an elite pass rusher more than an elite RB. I say that as someone who thinks sacks overrated and wonders who'll step in for Moreno if he gets hurt or we don't re-sign him (though if he stays healthy and keeps playing like he has I can't imagine we wouldn't.)

I don't think such a trade helps either team. What do the Broncos need with more offense? 50 pts. not enough for you? If anything, it needs healthier OL.

And I think the Vikes without AP are a far worse team than they already are.

Face it. The Broncos need Von to get some sacks. Defensive pressure is the big thing we lack right now and Von is a big piece in getting that.

The offense is proving that almost any RB can perform in this system because the defenses aren't keying on the backs,

I agree, that's why I so heavily qualified it. It's clear that we need a young, elite pass-rusher way more than we need a star, but aging and a bit dinged RB. I said earlier in the thread that with this offense, the offer as is is clearly a no.

Only thing that would change that is if the deal remained the same, but Von Miller does something dumb again. Again, it's obvious that no sane person would trade for a suspended player, but that was the hypothetical presented.

I've said this before, but the only player in the NFL I would trade Von Miller straight up for is JJ Watt. I seriously can't think of another player I would trade him for.

I think Von is better than Watt. I have no evidence of this other than watching them play. Watt had a great year, but has been silenced this year for the most part.

If you consider Von's risk of getting suspended again, I would say Watt has more overall value. I admit I haven't followed the Texans at all this year though so I don't really know how he is doing.

But he is still the one player who would make Denver at least stop and think about a 1-for-1 trade.
