The wait for Champ Bailey may be coming to an end.

The Broncos cornerback, who has missed the first five games of the 2013 season, was more optimistic on Thursday about his chance of playing Sunday than he has been all season.

"I'm progressing toward (playing)," Bailey said. "That's the plan. I've kind of been planning on that for a few weeks."

Excellent news; hopes and prayers he's fully recovered (the remark that he doesn't think the pain in his foot will ever go away is worrisome.) Great to have him back again; we missed ya, Champ. :salute:

I just hope he's 100% and not rushing (no pun intended) back...

I did notice one thing he said during the interview is that not only does he still have some pain in his foot, but that he doesn't think it'll ever go away; that's not really great news, for this season or long term.

Sprains can take a very long time to heal completely. I had one that lingered for over a year.

Jacksonville may suck. But this is the NFL. Not Alabama playing a DII School.

If he can go, he goes.

I think he needs to get a game in bfore we play against Hilton and Wayne. Its good to knock off the dust and get the feet back into game speed.

Yep! And Luck is way better than Gabbert or Henne.

Because 2 TD underdog UT just beat OU by 16 pts? ;)

Carter is better suited to being the nickel of dime corner and if Bailey can go the team is better. Also as Turf said I would rather Bailey get in there now and get some of the rust knocked off rather than waiting and going up against a quarterback that 10 times better than the quarterbacks on the Jaguars roster.
