Todd Helton will be honored Sunday before the Broncos game, per Klis.

No word on if he'll come in at quarterback after halftime.

I think it's pretty cool of the Broncos to honor a player from a different sport. It speaks to the team's sense of community.

I think it also speaks to Todd's legacy as a fixture of Colorado sports.

It will be hard to replace Todd as my son's favorite athlete ever.

I am so glad the Broncos are doing this for Todd. I hope it will be shown, so those of us in tv land can see it also. CBS is carrying the game. If it is national coverage, we probably will not get to see it. If it is regional, we may get to see it.

The Broncos may own the Denver sports market but they are not so audacious to not honor a great from another team in town.

Prior to their game Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Broncos will pay tribute to Colorado Rockies star Todd Helton, who recently called it a 17-year Major League Baseball career.

The Broncos will display a video montage of Helton’s highlights on the Jumbo screens at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Helton will also be a Broncos honorary captain and join his buddy Peyton Manning at midfield for the coin toss.

During Helton’s final home game celebration at Coors Field on Sept. 25, Manning and former Broncos quarterback John Elway provided video messages. Manning, his former quarterback teammate at the University of Tennessee, attended Helton’s final home game.

Helton finished with a Hall of Fame-caliber .316 batting average and 592 doubles. He also had 369 home runs, 1,406 RBIs and 2,519 hits.
