View Full Version : Broncos' myriad injuries on defense took toll vs. Cowboys

It hurt.

It hurt when linebacker Wesley Woodyard injured his neck and shoulder in the first half of Sunday's game, when defensive end Robert Ayers suffered a shoulder injury a few minutes later.

It hurt when cornerback Chris Harris got dinged so badly he was taken out at halftime with concussion symptoms.

Then, just hours later, it hurt to watch the tape — not just the injuries, but what occurred after and around them. Forty-eight points is a swift kick to the shin, even when the Broncos' record still reads 5-0.

No worries. We have a quasi-bye week which can give them time to heal up.

I would still like to have all three of those guys back for this game.

Woodyard and Ayers didn't practice today, Harris didn't take contact (http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_24273577/wesley-woodyard-robert-ayers-out-at-broncos-practice) (a few non-con drills only).

Glad it's the Jaguars this week.

Not good news. Hopefully Champ is back if Harris can't go. I guess we'll go with Phillips at RDE without Ayers but I have no clue who fills in at MLB for Woody. Lenon? Steven Johnson?

I wish they'd have said in the article who was taking first team reps.

I hope Woody can go. That was the biggest blow on Sunday imo being the signal caller.
