Per PFT: http://www.rotoworld.com/sports/nfl/football

Broncos WLB Danny Trevathan was carted off the practice field with a knee injury Wednesday.

Trevathan has started the first four games at weak-side linebacker with Wesley Woodyard manning the middle during SLB Von Miller's suspension. Nate Irving has been occupying the strong side. Trevathan has been a stud against the run, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 1 overall 4-3 outside linebacker versus the run. We'll have an update on Trevathan later. Paris Lenon is his backup.

Damn it, our luck with injuries has been awful this year. Sounds serious, but hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds and we'll know something soon.

Irving to MLB, Woody to will, and Phillips at Sam?

I'm waiting for the follow up report on Trevathan.

I don't think so. Del Rio loves Woodro at the mike. Probably too much movement. They may just go with Lennon or try Irving there.

The good thing is Woody and Irving can play pretty much all 3 spots. I think they'll be fine

Indeed!

Put Ayers to RDE position. Move Phillips back to LB position. It's all good.

Del Rio said that the reason Woody was moved to MLB was to get Trevathan out there so that the best 3 linebackers were on the field. I have to think that at this point Woody, Phillips and Irving are the best 3 linebackers available.

Two more games left for Von Miller and Broncos will have 4 best linebackers available.

Mike Klis just reported the MRI was negative. He will be ok after a little time off. Steven Johnson will replace him if need be.

According to Mike Klis, Trevathan's MRI results came back negative. That's a positive. Postive that it's negative.

I was scared to post in this thread in fear of jinxing his injury. Football superstition!

As solid as Danny's been in pass defense, though not perfect, he's been just as solid in run support. According to PFF, he's ranked No. 1 among 4-3 linebackers in Pro Football Focus' run defense grades.

I think he's every bit as good in coverage as Woodyard.

So question when von gets back what will positions be? Danny get the bench?

That would be shocking to me. Von would take the Sam spot back from Irving. Danny will stay on the field for all 3 downs.

Miller, Woody and Trevathan are going to be fun to watch. We should have the NFLs fastest LB core.

I just hope he can bounce back 100% and this doesn't 'linger...'

...we'll need him in the playoff push.

Good point being young hopefully recovers quickly.

That said, the bye week isn't until week nine of the season so that's both good and bad.
