At the time Twitter exploded with rumors of his arrival at LAX on Sunday night, Jack Del Rio was with John Fox at Del Frisco's steakhouse in Denver, the Broncos head coach said Monday.
Del Rio was also present at the Broncos facility for meetings the day after the team's 52-20 win over the Eagles, and Fox was leery to discuss his coordinator's status as a candidate for the open USC coaching job.
Fox's team had what the coach calls a "win Monday" at its facility to start the week — captains watch tape on their own, and the team lifts and runs in the morning. Such a schedule, Fox said, gives his players a shorter day and his staff more preparation time for next week's opponent, Dallas.
