Tests on Ryan Clady's left foot have led to fear of a serious injury, according to two NFL sources.

The Broncos are discussing options on how to best proceed with their All Pro left tackle. The worst-case scenario of season-ending injured reserve is a possibility.

Placing Clady on IR with the designated to return is another option. Either way, Clady will miss significant time because of a Lisfranc injury in the arch of his left foot. Lisfranc sprains occur when a metatarsal bone is displaced from the tarsus. The more severe Lisfrancs can have a three- to four-month recovery period.

The team is getting medical opinions on the extent of Clady's injury.

I'm reading the same stuff. Adam Schefter reported a few weeks.

We'll see what happens it's not a done deal yet.

Also keep in mind when the Packers won the Super Bowl just few short years ago they more players on IR than any other team in the League iirc.

If Manning be successful with likes of Tony Ugoh then he can be successful with Chris Clark.

I don't care if he misses regular season games. We can make the playoffs without him. I just hope he's ready to go by then.

Just heard on NFLN that Clady is the one who fears missing the entire season, not the Drs. Now it could have been a Dr. who told him. But this injury bug is getting old an annoying. I hope we get all our key players for a week or two this year?

Keep your fingers crossed . . .

Dr. Michael Fuller, an expert in this, said in an interview today on 102.3 ESPN (http://stationcaster.com/player_skinned.php?s=96&c=737&f=1861011)
that, if Clady doesn't require surgery, he could be back in little as four weeks.

If we can still dominate, much less win without Champ, Dumervil, Von and now Clady, I would have to say our coaching staff is the best in the league.

Does this mean that we shouldn't expect Champ back anytime soon?

I hope to Hell we don't rush him back. Yet another good argument, by the way, to get game time experience for the bench when a game is out of reach. Here's hoping we're up by 35 on the Faid in the 3rd Quarter and we give Osweiler et al. some reps and forget macho bullshit like "keeping the foot on the gas" when the game is a done deal.
