Because his priorities are in the right place for a team mind-set, wide receiver Eric Decker left Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Thursday night in a good mood.

Decker's Broncos had won their season opener against the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens 49-27.

But of Peyton Manning's 27 completions for 462 yards, Decker caught only two for 32 yards. That led to an apologetic tweet to fans Friday morning.

"Much love to Broncos Country for reppin big last night! Big win! Def disappointed in my performance, unacceptable! Watch, learn, flush," Decker wrote on his Twitter account, @EricDecker87.

From the link:

"Eric is a heck of a player," Fox said. "As I've said many times, if you haven't been beaten or you haven't dropped a ball, you haven't played.

He had four drops and one catch Thursday night? Even Holliday could do better than that.

Yes. And with JThomas starting to blow up, Decker doesn't have much margin for error like that again. Good thing he understands his value in the NFL and is a team player.

But he didn't' did he?

According to my Sportscenter app, Decker had 2 catches for 32 yards. 3rd among our receivers. I'd say get used to that. Thomas and Welker will probable get more catches.

Decker is still going to have a very good year. He had an off night, that is all.

The thing that concerns me was that he dropped a TD pass that was perfectly thrown. Right through his hands. Peyton doesn't forget. With OJ coming on, decker may find himself the 4th option quickly if he doesn't shake off the drops.

Cut him. Bring Brandon Lloyd out of retirement.

2 CATCHES?
km Should have had more than 2 catches.
he was targeted 6 times?
KM would do more with those opps.
If he drops a pass against the giants they should just take away his helmet for the remainder of the game.
11 best on the field.

I'm sure there are about 31 teams that'd love to have him.

Zam, your record continues nearly intact. I cannot remember you ever being right about anything football related. This keeps the streak alive. I :salute: you!

I guess there has to be something negative for people to overreact to after that win... ED will be fine..

if OJ is as legit as he looks, that might happen anyway. . . which works just great for me, as that would be excellent news for the broncos. . .
