In the Denver area, the game will be on my 20 - comcast ch 5, 657 for HD - pregame at 6:30.

Also, on ch9 now, they are talking about the tickets being totally sold out for the BRONCOS/ravens game, and tickets are going for over $1,000 on line.

I bet it is a lack-of-AC issue. RT @SkiWookiee: seriously? It's 91 degrees in Englewood.

They didn't do this when I was a kid: Some schools in Denver + Ft. Collins closed tomorrow because of heat!

A lot. Zac Dysert will also play in 2nd half. RT @theotheredge: how much time do you think Brock will see?

If you're hoping to see Peyton Manning tonight, I'd advise getting to Mile High in time for warmups...

I know its hot in Denver today but even this seems a little excessive: http://instagram.com/p/dnHFqOk4Z4/

Chris Kuper on the field with 27 early conditioners. He has yet to play in the preseason. Doesn't look like he will.

RB Montee Ball is out here, but Ronnie Hillman and Knowshon Moreno are not out with the 27 early conditioners.

There are 27 Bronco players participating in early stretch-conditioning. They all look like guys who won't play. Von Miller is out here.

Yeah, I can see that happening. I really liked what Knowshon did at the end of last year. I'm not sure why the coaches aren't starting him (seems like a no brainer to me). But then I don't understand a lot of the things this coaching staff does.

Ordinarily, this would be an indication Ball will start next Thursday’s regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. And he might.

But this also could be a situation where the plan was to not play Ball or Ronnie Hillman against the Cards because both will carry the ball plenty against the Ravens. Hillman's recent fumbles, though, was a factor in him playing tonight. In each of his last two preseason games, Hillman had fumbles returned for touchdowns -- one just before he was crossing the Seahawks goal line and one deep in his territory.

You can't have Hillman going into the game against the Ravens' defense -- even if their defense no longer includes Ray Lewis or Ed Reed -- with those two fumbles fresh in his psychic.

This. A thousand times this. All our backs could do with better run blocking, IMHO; it's hard to gain yards when hit behind the line (e.g. Dansby on that loss early in the last drive.) That said, Johnson looks is as good as any and better than most on the rare occasions I get to see him. NO way Lance Ball gets that TD, for example; dude can through holes, but our line doesn't open enough of them, and he can't break tackles. I don't care how good a special teamer he is, I'd rather have JJ.

That was a perfect example of a bs call. I know, I know, it's pre season, who cares?! My point is that football isn't football if you can't destroy somebody without penalty. Just because a wide outs head whips back doesn't mean he got hit in the head. In the playback it was clearly a legal hit, but today's refs are on auto flag mode when it comes to big hits. I can't stand it. It just infuriates me to no end. Why don't we just tie flags to the wide outs and play it that way. Again, I know its pre season so its irrelevant, but if its a pre curser to the reg season I'm going to break a lot of remotes this year.

Interesting; not sure if the refs just missed Boldens helmet-to-helmet hit on that first down run, or it's only illegal to hit receivers and QBs in the head. Oh, but if the BACK goes helmet-to-helmet, THAT'S a penalty. Is this about safety, or passing?

Here's one

Hitting with crown of helmet

This is the one that people already know about. The new rule states that both runners and tacklers are prohibited from initiating contact with the crown of their helmet outside the tackle box. The components of an illegal hit are: (1) The player must line up his opponent, (2) the player must lower his head, and (3) the player must deliver a forcible blow with his crown to any part of the opposing player's body.

Violations will result in a 15 yard unnecessary roughness penalty, as well as potential discipline from the league if warranted. If both players are moving at an angle or haven't lined up their opponent yet, then no foul will be assessed on the play.

You can't sign every damn free agent. And saying Welker signing is proof they should have signed X player is an asinine argument.

Dansby, specifically, has OBVIOUSLY stayed in warm climates and has, apparently, tried to stay where he's familiar. Now, if you can present any evidence that that's not the case with Dansby, please do so.

Zac gets to have one last shot... as far as trying to sneak you onto the practice squad. I am surprised he went in 7th round. Most felt like he was #2 rated QB after Geno and some #1. He just played with such a bad team and picked up bad habits. Rather go into season with him if had to choose a QB. I am sure some team would free a roster spot for him.

Most likely we go into season with 3 QB's.

You could just admit you didn't know we didn't have to convince Dansby to "leave" Arizona because Miami already did just that in 2010. He didn't go for the sunshine, he went because they made him the best paid Mike in football, which is probably also why they just released him. I'm an idiot if I can't keep track of Cardinals backups like Lenon, but also an idiot for knowing they'd already lost a top MLB like Dansby; I can't win.

Offering more than the 1 year $2.25 million deal Arizona gave him to return probably would've landed him. After all, I'm reliably informed that signing PFM means everyone wants to be in Denver; Jerry Rice and Mean Joe Greene are coming out of retirement any day to join (or rejoin, in Rices case) our roster. Enough.

Well, looks like this season starts like last season ended: Lead all game at home, then blow it at the end with a stupid mistake. Glad it doesn't count this time.

Maybe the Broncos should trade Manning for a MLB.......or three.

Although, I'm reliably told that Madden 25 is a video game, it's not real, so such a trade would otherwise be considered galactically ******* stupid.

Any deficiencies that existed in the LBer play, especially in the middle, last season will be exacerbated and amplified this season if the bulk of Dumervil's production isn't made up by Phillips or someone else. This team has sorely missed a presence, force, and leader in the middle since Al Wilson.

Broncos fan falls from escalator, taken to hospital with 'serious' injuries

A Broncos fan was taken to the hospital from Sports Authority Field at Mile High after falling off an escalator on Thursday night, authorities confirmed to CBS4 in Denver.

Police said the fan could have sustained "serious bodily injuries" as a result of his fall.

However, in good news the fan was "conscious and breathing" when he was taken to the hospital according to police.

Unfortunately at this time there's not a ton of information about the fan either: police, per CBS4, haven't released the man's identity or his age.

Additionally authorities haven't said whether or not alcohol was a factor in the fan falling off the escalator.

It appears the escalator in question was roped off by authorities:

Additionally, police are seeking witnesses who may have seen what happened when the fan fell.

Just move Manning to middle linebacker trade our next two number one picks to New England for Tebow and then we can an offense that scores about 10 points a game and one smartest players in football playing the mike linebacker position.

So anything interesting happen last night? I saw a couple of nice plays, but didn't really watch it (had the game on in the background).

I saw JJ's touchdown run, which was a nice run. Then I see he managed to average 2.6 ypc against the AZ scrubs. Yikes!

Nice pass from Oz to Robison (like 40 yards or so). Very nice throw.

That's about all I saw.

Jerrell(SP?) Robinson and the two young QBs were the standouts in my opinion. The young FA LB McCray had a nice game until getting hurt.

I was a little disappointed in Sly Williams, the parts of his game that I saw didn't impress and he was in even at the end of the game against 4th and 5th stringers. DT is a tough position to transfer from college to pros so he's obviously got time.

I'm not too worried about Sly. Alfred's opinion of him makes me confident he will be a player.

It was my decision. We had to rent our house out for a while and we decided not to take him with us. I'm not married to my oldest kid's mother, so the dog went to live there. It was more his dog than anyone else's anyway. We got the dog for him 7 years ago. If we move back into the house next year we probably won't bring him back because the mut pissed on my pillow.
