Dreesen was out for 2 weeks. Tamme was more of a day-to-day thing, I think. You might have gotten the 2 mixed up

Whether he starts or not, I would assume he will get plenty of playing time. Dreesen out, they'll limit Tamme, and I'm sure they're curious to see if the good camp will carry over to the game.

The Broncos saw some injured players return to health over the weekend, but the injury list remained long as more players were held out of practice.

Starting right tackle Orlando Franklin left practice after suffering a left hip injury. He was on the ground for several minutes after going down in a drill. Franklin was helped up, but limped off the field under his own power.

The Broncos' tight-end situation looked slightly better as second-string tight end Jacob Tamme returned to practice, but he was limited and didn't participate in team drills. The team's top tight end, Joel Dreessen, was scheduled to undergo a knee scope Monday and is expected to be out 3-4 weeks.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- For the first time since scrimmaging in front of 44,439 fans at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Saturday, the Broncos returned to the practice fields at Dove Valley.

Below is a recap of the padded practice session.

ROLL CALL

Tight end Joel Dreessen did not practice with a left knee injury. Head Coach John Fox said Dreessen underwent a knee scope this afternoon.

Other players who did not participate included Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (left ankle), Greg Orton (right ankle) and Jeremiah Johnson (left toe).
