• Quarterback watch: There was a mini-reunion of the 2005 Broncos team at practice Thursday. Quarterbacks Jake Plummer and Preston Parsons, safety John Lynch, running back Tatum Bell, tight end Jeb Putzier, center Tom Nalen and, on the field, left cornerback Champ Bailey, were on that 13-3 team that reached the AFC championship game.
There was a nice moment after practice when Peyton Manning walked out of the cafeteria for the sole purpose of kibitzing with Plummer. They had a long chat.
