Anyone in Denver know of a tamale joint who does the fruit tamales?

I had a guy downtown whose mom made them but I have lost touch with him.

Strawberry is the best.

Sounds like crepes. Find a recipe for strawberry crepes and then fry the flour tortilla. Maybe add some whipped cream or cheese filling.

Oh wait. Tamales. Those are corn tortillas, usually moist. Still, Strawberry breakfast tacos would be close enough for me.

Tamales are a lot of work to make, I don't want to make my own and they probably wouldn't turn out as good as a little Mexican shops tamales. I just want a new place to buy them. I tried making tamales once and I couldn't get the consistency right.

Best ones I get are at my favorite watering hole. It's strange because there is this Mexcian dude that rolls into this shithole bar, selling tamales out of a rolling cooler. The whole vision has food poisoning written all over it. But...inevitably you get drunk and hungry enough.

$10 for 12 of the best damn tamales I've ever had. Which is saying something considering my proximity to extensive Mexican populations.
