The Patriots this season are so dominant, everything points to them running the table and winning the Superbowl.

I just get the feeling they'll lose in the playoffs.

The only way they lose in the playoffs
is if the weather is so bad that they cant pass the ball
and have to depend on a ground
game that is far from their strength

a blizzard and 55 MPH winds
and playing a team that plays defense like
Jax and or Pitt.
That is the only chance

actualy the Jets, the Pats are going to smoke this
team like there is no tomorrow
when this game happens and there
is no health issues, etc

they will be favored by 27 over the J E T S and
Eric the Rat.

If the pats can score 70 they will
The most I ever remember in a modern game
that I watched was Cincy vs Houston Oilers
when they won 61-7. Cincy called a Timeout
to kick a FG to rub it in on Jerry Glanville

it was hilarous

I will give you your due, Pats. I said, after the week before last, "This is the best (complete) football team I've ever seen." Coincidentally, a national sports figure said the same, following morning.

I think that the only team that has a shot at beating them in the playoffs is this little "under-the-radar" team somewhere on the edge of the plains of Colorado. From a town called "Camelot."

That is usually how it happens, however I don't see the Pats losing to anybody at the moment. If they do lose then it will probably be in the playoffs.

It is very scary how easily it is for them to score 40 points a game. At this rate they will shatter the single season record for most points in a season.

Back in early July when I was talking to one of my buddies and I was looking at the schedule of the Pats he asked me how many games they would lose. I said they wouldn't lose a game.

Its looking more and more like that.
I also said we would beat them in the AFCCG though.
Not so sure of that happenining now but I really want to play them in the playoffs.

If we did play them I'd want it to be in the AFC Championship game.
Not the divisional round. I would hate to beat them and get smoked in the next game.
I want it to be for all the marbles.

But the pats are great no doubt.

They're a good team, the best in the NFL, but you give them way too much credit. It's true, they are heavy favourites over everyone, but if the best team always won, then "upset" would have no meaning.

Besides another team straight up outplaying them, they can have a rash of injuries; so far this season, they're one of the few teams that haven't gotten bitten by the injury bug, at least not by Denver or Houston standards. An injury to Moss could make them a little more "mortal". An injury to Brady makes them immediate underdogs to the Colts, Steelers, and even the Browns in the AFC, and underdogs to GB and Dallas in the NFC.

Too early to crown them champs, although they are the heavy, heavy favourites.

There is nothing that I see in that team that would tell me they'll lose a game this year unless they muff it up big time, which I don't see happeneing.

Davii

I don't see them losing a game in the regular season. The only chance I see of it happening is with Pitt. A Bill Belichick coached team is too well prepared for the "WTH was THAT?!" game.

Besides, BB has video of everyone's defensive play calls to train with.

In short, I don't see them losing in the regular season, but i'd like to.

I do however feel they will lose a playoff game. They haven't been challenged or had to fight for a game all season long. If someone really pushes them in the playoffs, they lose.

My 2 cents.

The only weakness I see on this team is the less than awesome running game. Beyond that it is one of the best I've seen, perhaps the cowboys of Jimmy Johnson, Packers under Lombardi, and the Steelers under Knoll.

This is a pretty damned fine FB team, developed under a great owner, they have areal GM and their coach is one of the best ever, certainly the class of the league over the past 5-7 years.

Not sure any team this year can beat them.

The two best teams I have ever seen are the 1984 49ers
who were 15-1 and only lost by a FG to Pitt at home.

they scored 475 and gave up 227

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sfo1984.htm

they also stonewalled Marino at his best in the Super Bowl
when Marino had 48 TD passes

Also the game was different than now. Moss would not have
free reign. The dbs would chuck him and smack him
all over the field IMO

the 1985 Bears were great as well

The best defense I have ever seen.

Pts for 456 points against 198
and they smoked all in the playoffs

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/chi1985.htm

now if NE can go 19-0 and continues on this pace, they should
be right up there with them.
Brady is having a historic season and should be acknowleged
and so should Mosses who is going to shatter Rices 22 TD
passes record. IMO as well

Also please do not tell me how denver is going to win in Foxboro

lets beat Chicago before worrying about the playoffs, then if
we get in, lets win round one.

if, its 25 degrees out. 50 MPH winds and snow
maybe we have a slight chance of covering lol

I would love it if a miracle did happen though:salute:

You will never see me pick this team over NE team as we speak, it is not gonna happen!! Only a strike of lightening hitting Brady would make that possible and then well I'm not so sure tha Belicheck would not pull a QB out of his hind pocket, that was drafted in the 7th round..

Jay I was there and thought Denver was going to win

different team from last year for Both teams

we might end up better by the end of the year
but the Pats has pathetic wrs and got much
better this year.

They have already scored more pts in 10 games at 411
than they did in 16 last year at 385, which is not a bad
offense at all, considering Brady had Reche butterfingers Caldwell
a very old Troy Brown and a mediocre Jabar Gaffney
compared to Moss, Welker and Stallworth

While any given Sunday always applies, NE is looking good for a run at 16-0 (or 19-0).

While they have had a weak schedule overall, the worst of it is behind them. They have two easy games against NJY and Miami, too games they should easily win against Bal and PHI, and then two games that could be interesting against Pit and NYG.

16-0 is tough, and they have a couple tests left, so they could still be upset.

And yea thier Wr's sucked last year and they still should have went to the SB IMO. Brady is the best QB in the league. Look at him with good recievers finally. Its pretty crazy.

But the way the Patriots play this year with a lot of deep passes and stuff we might be able to handle it. Maybe its in Bradys head that he cant beat us? Maybe he will be terrified of Champ and Moss will only get 1 reception.

All kinds of crazy things that could happen.

Champ has covered Moss and Champ has defended against Brady.

Elvis is a ball hawk and is good at harassing the QB forcing him to do stuff he does not want to do. But frankly I think he will be over matched against NE's OLINE and Brady. Even if he does get near him Brady will get rid of the ball before DOOM and GLOOM can hurt him without getting thrown out of the game.

Now having the Eagles come to town and be a 20 pint underdog many of the players just might have thought this was a scrimmage.

One of two things will happen because of this game tonight the rest of the season no one that plays NE will be looked past, and scores will be run up against them all. OR NE is not as good as we thought.. I think it is the former..

What a frustrating game. UP 24-17 Kyle Boller woke up and became Kyle Boller they should have been more conserative. etc

I hope you have the NFL Network my friend?
that is where it is. Smart move by them.

I got it and I live in boston so I would see it anyways

Oh, I have the NFL Network. :D My cable provider has that channel, however I feel bad for the 70+ million viewers that aren't as fortunate.

While I feel bad about it , all they have to do is get one of the dish products that offer it.. the costs are about the same as cable with a lot less hassles..

They can also force the cable company to get it with enough phone pressure..

Should be an interesting game between the Pats/Jets! 15-25 mph winds with gust up to 45 mph! Heavy snow before the game, sleet at the beginning and freezing rain during the game! Could mother nature give the Jets an upset win over the Pats! Pats are 9-0 in snow games at Foxboro but this is freezing rain and that crap sucks. Should be interesting!!!! Players better bring their spiked gloves and wear 3" spikes on their shoes (exaggeration).

BTW, Miami gets their first win this weekend!;)

Weather wasn't as bad as they thought yesterday but Pats didn't cover.

I hope so I really dislike the giants. As much as I really hate the cowgirls (jerry jones) I root for them over the NYG. I'm a ABC fan so it is really hard for me 2 times a year to hope they win...

Also would like to wipe that perfect season from MIA off the books if not for good at least till I'm no longer alive..

Pressure pressure pressure.

Except for Welker, the Pats offense was shut down. He had 11 catches, but they were all underneath.

Great evaluation of talent by the Giants in building that D line.

Actually if you remember when we handed them their first playoff loss in Tom Brady's career we did the exact same thing. We were in his face almost every play including the interception to Bailey.

But that was with smoke and mirrors defense. Actual Champ played out of his mind that year.. But then we got our heads handed to us by manning if I remember correctly.

Not a chance in hell we could have done that this year or last for that matter.

You win and lose in the trenches and we have done neither the past few years..

Funny that you mentioned that ... not that I disagree, because I don't; defense is vital.

But each time the Giants defensive line would overwhelm the Pats offensive line, I kept thinking to myself, here's the weakness of Brady and the Pats. As long as their OL is dominant, so are they, but when it breaks down, they don't have much of a plan b .... say a moving pocket, or heavy running then bootlegs or playaction to set-up the pass ..... sounds familiar?

Brady, your OL keeps getting beaten and you don't have much time to pass the ball ... welcome to the Broncos world. :D I bet Bill wishes he installed some of Shanny's offense.

Actually I'm not so sure that it would have mattered the giants defense would have morphed I saw so much adjustments being made by the LB a split second before the snap. I really believe they would have been ready for it..

They absolutely destroyed the rhythm of the Patsies. Almost all game and having a great punter putting them into some of the worst field position I've seen in big game like this one.. This screwed the pats more than anything.. Feagles should have been MVP.
