The Chicago Sun-Times reported on Tuesday that Urlacher had interest from both the Vikings and the Broncos, and that he was leaning toward the Vikings.

The Sun-Times report came from gossip columnist Michael Sneed, who isn’t known for breaking NFL news, but we had previously heard that there was some contact between Urlacher and the Vikings, so seeing Urlacher in purple wouldn’t be a huge surprise.

He's also "leaning towards the Vikings," meaning Urlacher is either trying to leverage for more of the money we will save by cutting Joe Mays or hell-bent on exacting revenge on the team that wouldn't re-sign him. He'll ruin his Chicago legacy by signing with Minnesota though, so I'd give it a 60% chance he signs here to replace Joe Mays and Keith Brooking.

Bronco sources say forget about report out of Chicago about interest in Urlacher. There isn't any. No interest. No contact. End of story.

I'm betting the $5,000 that I'm going to get from trading in a playoff appearance, that Urlacher doesnt get close to Denver

Even if there was interest does anyone believe that Brian (or even Charles) would play an entire season? I dont.

no way he would want to come here - Irving, Bradley and Mays are way to good for BU to compete against...

I thought they already released him.

I just checked, he is still listed on the active roster.

It might be the same thing with Woodson too. :behindsofa: totally different deal though. it's cool to have Woodson blitz but if you limit him to passing situations and allow him to ball hawk rather than playing in the box you also limit the potential for him to get dinged up. Urlacher on the other hand plays a very high contact position.
