I know King has his thread about the Blackhawks and I don't want to muddy it up with other teams.
It's another tough year for Avs fans but I have enjoyed watching a game here and there.
So anyone surprised other than me that the Sharks swept Van?
Do you think it's the Ducks year again or LA?
Any thoughts on Eastern teams?
I finally have a little time to enjoy hockey here and there. Will be in CA next week so I'm hoping I can watch a few games out there too.
Go for it hockey fans....you all know a lot more than I do.............:D (other than who's nice......;))

Wow I don't know if anyone else saw the WA/Rangers game but WOW!!!! That was a great game....so glad I got to see it.

Dang watching Kevin Shattenkirk play for the Blues have been really painful.
Well Blues done and LA moves on. Wow do the Kings turn it up a notch for the playoffs......:eek:
Watching other teams is always fun. The Bruins and the Penguins play excellent hockey.

Why is Vokoun in net for the Pens? Was Fleury struggling? I have not kept up with them at all. Not really a Pens fan esp after they took Iginla and Morrow at the trade. Like Crosby and Malkin were not enough....as I'm writing the Iginla just scored.....:lol:

I went on a cruise on my 21st birthday and watched that series all week. That's the week I fell in love with hockey and the redwings. Good and bad memories

Yeah he was. But he's really holey in the playoffs. He's about as notorious for it as Turco. Turco didn't win a cup with Dallas though. I think Ed Belfour was their goalie.

Belfour was. It was before I watched hockey but I remember looking something up and seeing that.
Actually I like both goalies. Since we didn't play any Eastern teams this year I have not follow the east at all. I was just surprise when I heard Vokoun.

So Red Wings or Ducks today?????
This game will close out the series so who do you think moves on?
Also if you want to pick WA vs Rangers or Toronto vs Boston go for it.
I'm finding myself torn between the Red Wings and Ducks. In general principals I don't like the Wings, but there are more players on the Wings that I like than the Duck.....so I don't have a clue...:lol:
I'd rather deal with the Red Wings, haha. Hawks have had some issues with the Ducks.

I didn't get to see the game, just as we got back to the room it was just getting over but I'm happy :)

Man the Kings/Sharks game was a nail bitter. I really like the Sharks....I go out to the bay area once or twice a year and enjoy watching their practice in person. It looked like the Kings were going to tie it up and it came down to the last 6 seconds. I didn't realize the Sharks had only lost twice in the Shark tank. Watching the highlights Couture is tough, he's gotten really beat up this series.
So the Kings/Sharks are all tied up. Boston is in the drivers seat. Rangers in trouble. Only one game tomorrow.....

I tell you that last game again the Ducks the Wings turn something on and they seem to be feeding on whatever that was. They are really reminding me of the Kings last year.
Sorry King but I like more players on the Wings than the Hawks. I can't be a major Avs fan and root for the Wings, but there are some really good guys on the Wings team that I'm very fond of.

BTW has Toews scored this series? I have not heard his name much at all. Even Kane been pretty quite.
Our stars have played like shit. Toews is self-imploding. Is he getting boned by non-calls? Yeah, he clearly is. But his penalties are just awful. Fight someone, push back, do anything other than stupid high-sticking penalties. They just get disheartened, and as a fan I can't deal with it. Two games ago they had about six shots go off iron; this game they had a few do that and afterwards they just folded.
Even Hossa isn't playing like he should. I feel bad for coach Q. He's coaching his ass off.

Yeah.....man did Chicago find something deep down and really pulled this game out. Here comes two game 7's....looking forward to them!
Chicago just has to play fast and move the puck. Hopefully Toews keeps up the improved play. Between Kane, Sharp, Toews and Hossa, at least two of them have to get points.

Well the wings are out, I have to say I'm disappointed in the way it turn out. It was an entertaining series though. I was working and I missed last nights game though but it sounds like it was an intense one

I'm working in MN this week. Was beyond tired that night I thought I would stay up till the end of the game. My eyes were slits by the end...good game but dang!
