View Full Version : Cancelling your BC account?

You can't.

After seeing AZ's thread about cancelling his account, I filled out the form on the site, to ask the question.

We haven’t built that functionality into the site right now, much like you can’t delete your message board account. We figure there’s no harm in the account continuing to exist in case someone abandons it, then wants to come back later. They can always remove information from their profiles if they’re not interested in actively participating, but the citizen page can continue to exist.

We’ll put it on our long-term list of things to consider adding, though.

Thanks!

- Steve

Message: If a member wished to delete their BC account, how would they go about doing this?

I am not wanting to do so, but I think it is important to have that information available.

I don't get why they would unnecessarily want to use up bandwith....

I had suggested if you want your account deleted, then post a bunch of porn and use vulgarity in all of the profile spaces.

That should do it. :nixon:

that just gets you banned. Your info doesn't get removed.

Have you ever tried checking the members list? There are so many "members" there that have never posted anything at all. Either many people like registering without posting ... even though you don't need to be a member to read the boards, or some people like having a whole lot of reserved names, or it was done to boost up the number of registered members. Then again, maybe the info from those members were merely purged before.

I think the issue is with broncoscountry.com, the MySpace part of it, not
the message board itself. At least, I know it is AZ Snake Fan's concern over
there. He doesn't want to relinquish his membership on the message board. It
is he other place he wants out of.

i would demand ALL my information to be removed or threaten to press some type of legal action. no "my space" type of web site should keep an individual away from deleting their own personal info. what if they decide never to be a bronco fan again....not going to say that will happen but if so would they still want themselves on BC?

That's exactly it.

I went onto the Country's stuff, and asked the admin how a person could delete their account.
