should we trade for Tavaris Jackson?

He put things on the burner when all of the Favre drama happened regarding the Vikings. There is no way I'd make a trade for him, but he isn't nearly as bad as people think he is.

OTOH, he might unite Bronco fans. There may be a bitter dispute as to whether or not Kyle Orton is a decent QB or has the potential to be, but I think most of us would unite together in rage if we had to watch a season of Tavaris Jackson football. I will unequivocally say that Kyle Orton > T. Jackson. Its hard for an Orton doubter like me to say positive things about him, but I'll gladly go that far

I agree, he's had a good preseason... But if you base your opinion on his play in the regular season last year, then yeah, he is as bad as people think. I'm gonna need to see him prove it in a game that means something before I'll think otherwise. Thus, I wouldn't trade anything more than a 6th or 7th for the guy.

I would have Simms over Orton as well but Simms shatters at the mere reflection of himself. He just isnt reliable health wise.

Because he is very average. He cant win the job over guys like Frerotte, Rosenfels, and now Favre of all people have been brought in because he cant make any separation or show he can be consistent. Not too mention, he must of got the fumblitis bug from Daunte when he was there last. These are not great stats to crow about when you ACTUALLY have a running game and somewhat better defense than say, the Broncos.
