ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- When the NFL Draft is over, the night is just beginning for personnel staffs across the league.

The next few hours of "chaos," as Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway put it, are reserved for calling undrafted free agents, convincing them to choose one team over another.

"That's where the coaches and scouts work together and it’s fun to watch them and they even become negotiators," Elway said. "I’ve said, you know, the guy that does the best job at recruiting these CFAs has the option to have the part-time job at John Elway Chevrolet as a used car salesman, so it was a good competition.”

It took another day or so but the Broncos did come to terms with Brigham Young defensive tackle Romney Fuga as an undrafted free agent.

Following the draft, the Broncos announced 15 undrafted rookies who had reached agreement with the club. The 6-2, 320-pound Fuga is the 16th. He’s an older prospect (turns 25 on May 25) as he took a two-year missions trip to Madagascar, plus received a medical redshirt. He enrolled at BYU in 2006 and played in 2012.

The Broncos drafted and undrafted rookies, plus players who still have practice squad eligiblity will report for the Broncos’ rookie minicamp May 10-12.
