Every year one or two teams make a pick that no one saw coming.......shocking everyone into a spin.

List your prediction of team and a player.

Im going with Eagles taking Smith.(fat chance)

Then make a shock pick prediction for the Broncos.

Mine is, we trade up and take Eifert, TE.

I was expecting to see a hand gesture.

I was expecting to see a hand gesture. Me too..lol. I would show the shocker to Iraqi Police and it was funny watching them use two hands to make the shocker.

Agreed. The Broncos are set at TE this season. If they do draft a TE (early or late) I would be temtped to eat a roll of barbed wire and crap on Elway's desk.

Eifert is a matchup nightmare, I wouldnt mind.

Denver just has way too many other needs though. If we are trying to win a championship in the next couple of years Denver needs to focus on defense because the Raven's game exploited many weaknesses on this team.

Not going to argue what we need, just saying it would be a shocker, and it wouldnt hurt my feelings.

Kid is huge and can run.

My buddy has pictures in Iraq where he has a whole mess of kids doing the shocker. Too funny.

I think this year is different than most because most other drafts have been more top heavy and there has been more of a consensus as to how the first round will shake out.

I think most people expect the unexpected this year, with multiple trades and guys who have varying 1st/2nd round grades that could go anywhere in rounds 1 or 2.

The only thing that would shock me is if 3-4 QBs end up going in the first... But even then, it wouldn't be totally unexpected given the premium on that position.

broncos fans should pray for that scenario. it would mean more highly rated players drop to the broncos at 28.

I would be shocked if we don't get a DE or LB

anyone drafts a fullback in rounds 1-3 would be a shocker

So far...

Teo and Lacey still on the board.

Manual being the only QB taken.

Not as many WRs taken.

Cowboys...Lol.

It was interesting how the commentators were saying in this day and age of football you need guys who can get to the QB and guys who can block for said QB's.

no RB taken in the first round.
only one QB taken in the first round. neither is really a shocker, but which do you consider more surprizing?
I think some team is going to move up to get lacy in the first 4 picks of round 2 and I think a team will pick a QB before 8 draft picks come off the board in round 2.

Chef Zambini

as these teams reshuffle for round 2 I think there could be as many as 10 trades in the round.

That was possibly the most heavily predicted outcome. It's a shocker relative to recent years, but not at all surprising.

The shocker so far is the Cowboys, err, Jerry Jones, reaching for an O-line need and grabbing a Center with a 3rd round grade. Jerry Jones is the new Al Davis!

Ravage!!!

I th ink that no RB taken in the entire first round was the biggest shocker to me. First time since 1963.

Yeah, I mentioned it in another thread, but in 1963 Jerry Stovall was drafted out of LSU. He never played RB in the NFL, but he was indeed drafted as a running back.
