I didn't see a new thread up here we go. I hope we continue to see improvement in all three phases of the game and hopefully no injuries.

If we could get a sticky please that would be great. :D

I've got two fantasy drafts coming up at 1a.m and 2.am on back to back nights this week. I want to make it to at least one of those. So I'm pretty iffy about staying up for this one. Old bod can't cope with three out of four insanely late nights

How was the game? I missed it :(

 Always good to get a head start on the gameday threads though. Since were 0-2 in preseason and havn't showed me anything great, I hope this is the game where we shine and win. Or at least have our starters play great and knock Jay around.

I'm kinda skeptical about the season. Kinda sad since I'm usually optimistic.

Oh well. Cant wait til game time.

I'm gonna catch the re-air Monday afternoon before work...

I imagine this game will be played with regular season intensity due to all the
drama surrounding it and certain parties trying to send messages to the other...

Should be fun to watch. Wonder how loud the boos will get at Invesco?

On KOA, they are talking about how hard it is to get injury info from McDaniels (vs. Shanahan), but not only that, but under Shanahan all the assistant coaches were available to the press, but McDaniels doesn't allow the press to talk to most of the assistant coaches. Interesting.

Nope, didn't hear it.

It was basically typical Beli with a ton of questions and no answer concerning Brady's injury. I think we see glimpses of that here. I personally don't have a problem with it. I remember being at the San Diego game back in 03 in San Diego and Plummer did something to his shoulder. SHanahan was hush hush about it at halftime and I think he got in some trouble for doing so.

Ingle Martin had some interesting comments. He said learning a new offense is like learning a new language, with the terminology and stuff. When asked specifically what makes McDaniels system hard to learn, he said the system gives you an answer for everything the defense might do, which makes it hard to learn, but once you know it, you don't have to guess what to do based on a given defense. That's a rough, rough paraphrase, because he was on about 40 minutes ago when I was in the middle of the FFL draft.

Damn, just lost the KOA feed.

The thing I found interesting is there really isn't a "playbook" that the players take home. This offense is all about concepts and match ups. I'm excited to see it fully unleashed in a few weeks.

then I have to wonder if it was 3 playboys that Larsen was carrying from meeting to meeting during OTA's and mini camps..

opposed to the playbooks he said he was studying for all three phases he plays..

Royal asked on Koa in regards to Orton, "unlike the guys that used to catch balls from Elway, you guys don't have to worry about broken fingers from Kyle?" Eddie said, "he has the arm strength to do that, he just rarely throws the ball that hard."

Prio to that question, he was talking about how accurate Orton is, how he puts the ball where only the receiver can catch.

Could have been. It also could easily have been a book showing the 'language" or "cadence".

So, it is possible they did receiver books to study some things, but it clearly wasn't what is tradiionally known as a playbook.

Scheffter on KOA right now. He says the Broncos were considering suspending him for the first 4 games, but the NFL advised them not to, and instead to have escalating punishment.

Also, someone on the Mane just posted that the NFL is reporting (radio, TV?? -- didn't specify) the Broncos did offer Marshall a new contract/extension, but it had zero guaranteed dollars in it.
