i usually don't do this, but what the hell-- lemme know what you think. . .

and feel free to post your teams here if you want 'em rated-- if we keep it all in one thread it keeps the forum cleaner. . . .

QB - tony romo
RB - michael turner
RB - steven jackson
Flex - kevin smith
WR - calvin johnson
WR - roy williams
WR - santonio holmes
TE - john carlson
D - redskins

I was going to ask how in the hell you got those 3.

That is a superb team!

Turner, jax, and benson are all Locks for 1200 and 10tds. Smith showed flashes of being a numer 1 or solid #2. RB= A+

megatron we know, roy should be huge. esp. with the romo hookup, holmer and kurtis are good yardage guys and berian could explode with brett. Chambers imo sucks- but he is in a high passing offense and is a great Backup. WR=B+ (imo lots of yard guys but only 2 tds heavy types)

I have carleson and folk too- so obviously i agree there.

I like your team a lot! Nice job.

yeah its pretty solid. But wtf are you thinking with benching jennings and vjax and starting gage and marshall/walter.

I like your team aswell. IMO RB depth might be a need. But thats just because i dont trust ray rice and i think beanie wells beats out hightower sooner than later- even though fitz said they willshare the load.

I love your top 2 picks in Johnson and Williams (assuming those were the top two, and Donovan I think will have a good season along with Eddie. I question the Chris Henry pickup a little, though Houshmandzadeh is gone. I think you'll have Chambers starting by Week 2, and I think you'll be in the market for a WR. Might be able to finagle one out of someone with a Sanchez crush.

:2thumbs: Looks like you got a little Bronco happy :2thumbs:

I'm a little concerned about your QB situation. Yes, McNabb is the "starter" in Philly. However, he has Vick on "backing him up." If he stuggles at all in September, he could get a quick hook.

Sanchez is a rookie which = be afraid, be very afraid. I don't care how good he might be 3 or 4 years from now. Right now he is a rookie and will more then likly play like a rookie.

You have a lot of depth at RB, you might want to make a trade to shore up you QB situation.

Meh, McNabb will have a good year. Sanchez actually looks very competent at quarterback so far, and he can fill in if needed. I don't know how many teams are in the league, but if Vick did replace McNabb, you could always pick Vick up.

There are a few other solid but not spectacular options at QB in FA should Sanchez struggle. Looking at what was available at QB (i got Sanchez in the last round) i felt Sanchez was in a little more 'pass happy' offense than the rest and should put up better numbers be it he plays well.

I already know mine has the potential to suck really bad, but oh well. It'll will be fun. You've got a solid QB, a very strong and deep WR group including 2 of the best in the game arguably, 2 pass receiving TEs, a top 10 Defense, and 3 RBs that are starters on their teams. You also have the potential to be really good too.

You may have a concern at RB depth if and when Wells eventually takes the starting position from Hightower, which he is expected to do but you never know, but you've got fire power at WR to make a nice offer for a trade should you have too.

Good QBs on bad teams can rake in huge FF point because they are always having to play from behind. Three seasons ago, Kitna was a FF all star with the Lions. Did I just say Kitna was a good QB

In any case - if Palmer stays good and the Bengals stay bad, Moss and ocho keep their heads on straght, and Bush lives up to his potentual then you should be tough to beat.

I normally play in any more than ONE FF team a year (I hate rooting for a player for one league, and against him in another)... this year I got into 4 (lol)

Anyway.. one is just a fun league amongst friends and their families that meet every sunday to watch the games at the sportsbar. Since a few of the kids are there, we decided to make it an auto draft (I hate auto drafts, but since everyone agreed)... Check this team out. I rated my players (and figured most would just let the computer rate theirs)...

They did'nt have the players listed to choose from like CBSSportsline or NFL.com so you had to type in the player or his last name to choose him or see if that player was even available. I had McGahee last year and he did great, for the 1st month of the season. Then Rice took over as their featured back and he became worthless. I'd start Heap at TE & pray that Gaffney steps up this year. All in all, your solid @ the big three QB, RBs & WRs. You got solid Ds as well.

I think Palmer is going to have a great year, as well as Rodgers. I picked last out of 12 so i feel pretty fortunate i got who i got.

All in all McGahee is the only one i'm a little ify about due to like you said, the Rice factor. His touches will be limited but i thought if anything he would hopefully be a decent Flex player. It's a 12 team league so with the flex player position there's not alot of options at this point, everyone gobbled up all the RBs.

that's a good team. . . you might be right that WR depth will be a bit of a scramble, but you have a few guys with potential there. . . i think you'll manage fine with that lineup. . . JMO. . .

Several times I had a WR go right before I was going to pick him, then I went another direction.

Glad we're in different divisions, as I think I would stuggle against your team. Haven't looked at the other teams in our league to see how I'll stack up, but I need some luck at WR.

I'm not quite as happy with mine as you are with yours. Here it is anyway. I think this is the weakest of my drafts. Not sure I will start Bryant week 1 and take a wait and see with him, and possibly go with Gaffney or Hester until I see what type of production the rookie will give:

QB - Aaron Rodgers
RB - Matt Forte
RB - Rashard Mendenhall
Flex Ahmad Bradshaw
WR - Greg Jennings
WR - Percy Harvin
WR - Dez Bryant
TT - Antonio Gates
K - Nate Kaeding
Def - 49ers

McNabb
Darren McFadden
Buckhalter
Jabar Gaffney
Vincent Jackson
Devin Hester
Eddie Royal
Tony SchefflerSolid team, not bad at all. You've got some big play guys and for the most part very consistant.

I picked Bryant in the BF league. I think he's going to eventually be a strong #2 guy behind Miles and Dallas is going to do everything they can to force feed him the ball. But i'm not going to start him at first being a rookie WR and all. I'll feel him out early on just to see how fast he meshes there. But he has big play potential everytime he touches the ball.

Arian Foster looks to be a workhorse in Houston, he'll get his touches which is all you can ask for with all the two RB systems teams run these days. Bradshaw is a great flex option. Nice depth (bench).

thanks. . . i like berrian a lot this year, and he's available at a premium in most drafts. . . i was holding my breath for foster and desean jackson to still be on the board for my #4 and #5 (back-to-back, luckily). . . i was really hoping jamal charles would make it back to me, but pretty sure somebody between you, spawn, softskull and mr. B would take him. . .

we'll see what bradshaw can do, but i'm optimistic. . . i like him as a flex or backup RB with some upside. . . not sure how many carries he will get or can handle, but i picked up jacobs just in case. . . i almost took ronnie brown instead of bradshaw, but i was afraid i wouldn't be able to get ricky williams as the handcuff, so went with bradshaw. . .

i was also happy to get brent celek-- i've just missed him like three times. . .

I'm in the "I usually don't do this...but..." group, but here goes anyway. This is my Official BF Fantasy team.

QBs:
Matt Schaub
Jay Cutler
Matt Hasselbeck

RBs:
Stephen Jackson
LeSean McCoy
Ryan Matthews
Cadillac Williams

WRs:
Santana Moss
Wes Welker
Braylon Edwards
Roy Williams
Mike Wallace

TEs:
Vernon Davis
Kellen Winslow
John Carlson

K:
Lawrence Tynes

D:
Bears
Cowboys

This was a live draft that I wasn't able to make. Luckily, I ranked my players and ended up not so bad. There are quite a few question marks on my roster, but it's a high risk/high reward thing especially for guys like Braylon Edwards. I'm pretty happy I was able to draft Ryan Matthews. The dude is gonna be a beast for SD.

I'm actually not a big fan of your team...I don't like the value of Desean, Berrian, and Jacobs this year. However, Johnson + Moss + Romo should = win, and I've drafted Owen Daniels in a couple leagues this year. Great value if his knee is okay. I should also add that I came in last in this league last year, so it's probably a good thing I don't like your team.

Pretty solid team, especially for an autodraft. My only qualm would be that I like to be stacked at RB/WR and not spend so many roster spots on QB's, TE's, or D's. Your depth at WR and RB is a little shaky with several boom or bust guys, like you said.

QB:
Joe Flacco
King Neckbeard

RB:
Frank Gore

Beanie Wells
Jonathon Stewart
Jamal Charles
Donald Brown

WR:
Randy Moss
Roddy White
Dwayne Bowe
Hines Ward
Derrick Mason
Mohamed Massaquoi

TE:
Zach Miller
Jermaine Gresham

D + K:
Saints and Janikowski

I may have went a little overboard here at WR and RB, but there kept being great value that I couldn't pass up. I'm hedging my bets on Zach Miller and Joe Flacco performing at a high level every week, which is a little scary, but I should also have some good trade assets if I need to upgrade at TE or QB. This is probably the most stacked I have ever been at RB and I like it.

Frank Gore is a sure thing. The rest of them aren't three down backs. Greene pulls a heavy load, but the rest of them share carries....Beanie Wells with Tim Hightower, Stewart with the other dude in Carolina, Charles with Thomas Jones and the dude they drafted, and Donald Brown with Joseph Addai.

Your receivers are solid. Bowe can't seem to come around and now they also have Chambers, etc. Mason has to contend with Boldin. Massaquoi isn't gonna net much this year. But between Moss, White, and Ward, you've got solid WRs.

Actually, I missed the draft do to circumstances beyond my control. So this is what the auto drafter did to me. Its a none PPR league. Those "no good" WRs will have their stats enhanced by their KR & PR stats. I don't normally take chances on rookies right out of the gate, but Spiller is going to be Buffalo's featured back due to injuries to his rivals. I'm also hoping Shanny can get Portis perform like he did in Denver.

I was going to start a thread but then I saw this thread so I figured I'd post my teams

15 Team money League:

QB: Tony Romo
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Jahvid Best
RB/WR: Clinton Portis
WR: Greg Jennings
WR: Jabar Gaffney
TE: Dustin Keller
DEF: Ravens
K: David Buehler

Bench: Thomas Jones, Dez Bryant, Golden Tate, Arrelious Benn, Mike Thomas, Jerious Norwood, Matt Moore.

In my opinion from that team, I have a pretty solid starting lineup for it being 15 teams. But my bench is real thin. Bunch of young guys hoping that they have great years. But my bench certainly is a weak point lol.

My 10 team Money league:

QB: Joe Flacco
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Reggie Wayne
WR: Anquan Boldin
RB: Ronnie Brown
RB: Clinton Portis
TE: Vernon Davis
K: Mason Crosby
DEF: New York Giants

Bench: Thomas Jones, Dez Bryant, Justin Forsett, Michael Bush, Mike Thomas, Kyle Orton.

I like my starting unit and think my bench is okay if they are healthy. Could have a sleeper bench. But I like my team. I drafted RB's later because you have to start 3 WR, and I wanted to get them set first. But I like it.

My 12 team Free League:

QB: Matt Schaub
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: CJ Spiller
WR: Brandon Marshall
WR: Chad OchoCinco
WR: Reggie Wayne
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Ryan Succup
DEF: Green Bay Packers

Bench: Mike Thomas, Brandon Jacobs, Clinton Portis, Chad Henne, and Tim Tebow. Its a free league so I did that just for fun to have God on my side. :elefant:

But overall I like that team as well.

Tell me what ya'll think of my teams plz :elefant:

Most of the time, the KR and PR don't yield points unless it's a fumble recovery, forced fumble, or TD...and when that's the case the points go toward the team defense, not the individual. But since you don't appear to be playing a team defense league, you can disregard the rest of my post. As far as rookies go, Ryan Matthews is gonna own.

BroncoBJ,

Who's your back up QB in your 15 Team Money League? Gaffney & Portis are risky, but I'm taking a chance on Portis in one of my league and I believe Gaffney could pan out. However, I'd have both of them on short leashes. If Portis doesn't produce for during the 1st couple of weeks, I'll consider grabbing an FA to replace him.

Schaub was my most consistent FF producer last season. That says allot when you consider that I also had Adrian Peterson on that same team. Vernon Davis was great for me as well.

 2 Ks  Conventional FF wisdom says that Ks are a dime a dozen so there's no reason to carry 2. With the exception of the elite TEs, most produce just a little more than your average Ks. When my K & TE bye weeks come, I usually dump them that week and get someone else. If they really are that much better than the other Ks & TEs in FA, I have sometimes dumped a garbage bench player that I was considering dumping anyways to free up a spot for that 1 week.

By doing this, it frees up 2 more spots that I can use on another WR & RB. I found that those are the 2 hardest positions for me to maintain solid production from due to injuries and younger players of the future supplanting veterans. You also have to deal with platooning with some RBs & other WRs on your WR's team having better matchups on some weeks that will hurt your WR's numbers. This is why I always carry extra of both. However, I'm sure that a number of other veteran FF managers would disagree with my approach.

Vick is no 1 hit wonder. He could have another great season if his O line can figure out how to block somebody.

Hillis may not produce as much as he did last year, but he should be a solid FF play all year long.

Thanks for the insight. It's been my first FF in a long time and it shows. I took Vick first round even though conventional wisdom suggests RB since there's apparently a bigger drop off in talent. You're right that I probably don't need two kickers just for the bye. What about 2 DST's? My rationale was being able to pick the whoever had better match ups. Same goes for kicker and tight end too I guess... We'll just have to wait and see how well I fare.

Probably half of the FF managers carry 2 DSTs. Last year I had 1 Main DST and a 2nd slot available for a D of the week in case there was a good matchup I wanted to take advantage of. I had Minnesota as my #1 defense to start the season. Cleveland was on my roster for week 1 because their opponent was Tampa Bay who had a poor offense the year before. However, I don't recall if I actually put them in the starting lineup instead of Minnesota.
