He's always been one of my favorite players. I was this *holds finger tips tips an inch apart* close to becoming a Charger fan just because of him.

Actually...this is a very good signing...

@psmyth12: In 3,435 career OL snaps during his four-year NFL career, Louis Vasquez has been called for just one penalty. #Broncos

How the hell does the Chargers board have 17 pages of fans upset about losing Vasquez and this board only has 2 pages of people elated that we got him?

Maybe we won't have to watch that Pendejo Manny Ramirez eff up that spot anymore!

I approve of this move. :salute: *laughs*

But I liked Kuper, so if he's just replacing Chris then it's more like getting a really healthy - and heftier - Kuper back for the next several years. Which is a good thing.

Him playing next to our resident bridge troll Franklin is gonna make the right side of the line our running side, especially with "I-run-block-like-a-badass-when-I'm-a-pulling-guard" Beadles coming around that side at full speed when we want him to.

How can that not be a good thing? I still want to fix the center/LG combo package (Koppen can't play forever) but this keeps strengthening the OL. Good move. If it moves Beadles to our best backup OG (instead of that moron Ramirez) and we play Kuper (Kuper's not gone yet, right?) and Vasquez together on the OL for a year, that's fine too. Maybe Blake's a better C option than I think and can push Walton as well.

The Broncos really like Beadles where he is at, so Kuper is likely gone.

Im REALLY happy with this signing.

Elway, smart man that he is, knows we need to be able to line up and play smash mouth football.

I hope we draft another roadgrading Olineman too!

I want to be able to line up and just RUN.

Peyton would be safe.

His arm would be strong.

And imagine this: Having a run game like that with our passing game, and then going uber up tempo with run after run and then PASS.

With Decker, Thomas and the TEs, we can KILL it running.

colour me confused

"Manny Ramirez, who started most of the season for Kuper, is affected as well, since this likely means he will be a backup at guard and center, behind expected starter J.D. Walton. Ramirez and Vasquez were also teammates at Texas Tech from 2005-06."

http://www.denverbroncos.com/news-and-blogs/article-1/Impact-of-Vasquez-Addition-Wide-Reaching/8d765aea-5566-43e5-b388-cc2bacade777

is Koppen going somewhere?

is Koppen going somewhere?

Koppen was allowed to walk in free agency, he was only signed for the season. And Ramirez if retained will backup the guard position, Blake and Walton will battle it out for the center position, Clark will be backing up at the tackle position.

Vasquez might be my favorite signing yet- yes even over Welker. I've been a big fan of his since he was at Tech. Interior Oline just got bigger, nastier, and more talented. Now give me Jones or Schwenke in the draft and call this Oline ready to beat on people.

In the meantime, this is what our opposing defenses are staring at on the right side:
