View Full Version : Broncos Leaders in Reggie Bush Sweepstakes

Denver Broncos are the favorites to land the highly coveted free agent running back Reggie Bush, Kelly also included that the Arizona Cardinals (who are apparently jettisoning two of their running backs from 2012) and the Detroit Lions, who have been linked to Bush since it became apparent that Miami would allow him to walk, are also in the conversation.

Omar Kelly @OmarKelly: Reggie Bush is competing with a few free agent tailbacks. But he'll pick between Denver, Arizona and Detroit. I hear Denver is the leader.

So...Detroit.

Ah, Ok. I will delete this thread soon.

Nah, don't delete it. There wasn't one specifically on Bush.

If he lands in Denver, I'm following Omar Kelly, even if he only usually talks Dolphins. Several other pretty high profile national guys have all said Detroit.

Or just have them merge it with the Bush one.

Omar is now reporting that the Bush to Denver rumor was most likely just a smokescreen.

Yes, a pass catching speedster out of the backfield makes NO sense...

But they already have that (assuming you buy that Hillman is actually a speedster).

It would seem they are in need of a true #1, which I don't think Bush is.

I don't agree on Hillman.

You don't think he can catch or you don't think he is a speed back?

I don't think he's going to be a consistent speed back. I think a combo of McGahee, Moreno and Bush would be a huge upgrade.

Well, I will be shocked if McGahee is on the roster next year.

You really think they would sign Bush to replace last year's 3rd round pick, who they obviously love?

Well, I really don't think it's going to happen, but I'd like to see it.

Yeah, if they sign Bush, there's no way McGahee is here next year. I doubt he'll be here anyway but definitely not under this circumstance

I think Bush would be scary good in a Manning offense.

The title of Buff's autobigraphy or a Denver post sports headline?

Looking for Bush in Denver.

Hillman is no bush, but he is OBVIOUSLY faster than moreno, and is much more explosive than anyone else we have in the backfield. I also remember him taking the corner on many LBs trying to beat him to the sidelines, so I would say that Hillman fits the "speed" back moniker. I think we need a power back.

Reggie Bush would be a great fit here because we actually have an O-Line, receivers, and a QB. He showed versatility early in NO with his ability to line up as a WR and breakaway speed. I don't know why people are down on him, he was never a locker room cancer. He was just overpaid.

Kid needs to learn how to pick up a blitz, though. He was just awful at it, and it showed in a big way after Moreno got hurt in the Ravens game.

From South Beach to Detroit City. Oh what a downgrade...
