INDIANAPOLIS — The Broncos have four restricted free agent players who must be tendered contracts by the March 12 opening of the 2013 league season.

The most significant RFA is punter Britton Colquitt. He would be in demand if he hit the market so don’t be surprised if the Broncos slap a second-round, $2.023 million salary tender on him.

The Broncos must also decide whether to give “original” round tenders to backup tailback Lance Ball and offensive tackle Chris Clark. The “original round” tender is $1.323 million which is a little rich for backup-type players.

I think Clark might be a keeper but no way in hell do I think Ball is getting $1.3 million offer. Let'em both test market.......

Punting in Mile High, anyone could do it. I bet even Top could pooch a 35 yard punt in that thin air.

Only way Lance Ball gets 1.3 million is if that is the total on a 3 year contract.

KC makes Britton's brother, Dustin, the highest paid punter.

And we have the better of the two punters, which means Britton is in line to be the leagues highest paid punter. At least we can wait another year by giving him the 2nd round tender.

I could care less about Lance Ball.
