I need 2 new motherboards for a couple lap tops I have.

Through dell...pricey.

Ebay I can get about 130 a piece.

They all have a different part number it seels. I have looked at the images and they all seem to look the same, does it matter that much the part number if its for the right dell model?

Laptops can be a pain especially replacing the motherboards. Everthing has to be in the same place or it won't fit into the case. That includes the positioning of internal components like where and how the heat sinks fit.

A different part # can mean just a revision of one or more components on the board. As long as everything is in the right place you should be OK but there is no way of knowing for sure until you physically try it.

The best way is to make sure you can return it if it doesn't fit. Your attempt to save a few bucks on ebay may cost you in the long run.
