ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- When Adam Gase was announced as the team's new offensive coordinator, Head Coach John Fox acknowledged the importance of offensive continuity in that decision.

Gase echoed that sentiment in his first media availability at his new position.

"It really helps because when you walk in that meeting room, you’re not starting over," Gase said. "You’re really off and running right from the get-go, whenever we start up in April.”

And Gase plans to get off-and-running in a hurry.

“I absolutely think I’m ready and I’m not nervous about calling plays," Gase said, noting that McCoy gave him a few series of play-calling duties toward the end of the 2012 season.

Looks like McCoy, Fox and everyone else was getting Gase primed and ready. One thing I appreciate from McCoy was that he was giving Gase a chance to get his feet wet, so thank you Mike McCoy for doing that.

this is a great example of the coaches/team/organization doing things that the fans never think about.

How could McCoy let Gase call plays? I thought Manning did it all?

NTL, they call the plays in to Manning and then Manning changes it to what he wants. lol

Like TX said earlier, when they play works its Manning, when it goes bad it was the OC.

On a serious note, I think Gase is going to be good.

McCoy and Gase called all the plays. Manning just changed them at the line of scrimmage.

I think Gase would learn from Manning, but he has worked with several postions as a coach. Worked with Nick Saban. I hope he is not overly conservative and takes chances and lets Fox pull the reigns back if they need to be.

Just as I figured.

As for QB coach, I hope he get someone to really improve Oz and help him along the way. Being it polishing his mechanics or studying film. I know Manning is helping but Manning is also a busy guy.

The only way you can go "pedal to the metal" is if you have the keys to the car.

Hopefully, daddy Fox gives them to him.
